Correlation between Shoe Size & Ring-Finger Size...

Waayyyy off for me and my husband! My shoe size is 11, ring size 5.5. DH's shoe size is 10.5, ring size 8.5. But, we both have large feet for our height/body size.

OMG, another size 11! I thought my mom and I were like the only size 11 women in the universe!

Yeah, anyway...5'8", size 11 shoes, size 6.75 ring.

Shoe size 7, ring size 4 no real correlation between ring size and shoe size.

I think it works better for men. In women it's pretty much unheard of for an adult lady to wear a shoe smaller than 5 yet plenty of ladies have fingers smaller than that.

I think Motownmama makes a great point. The reason why the ratio is a lot closer for men is because men (and children's) shoes are sized on a different scale than women's.

For me..

Ladies shoes - 6.5

Children's shoes - 4

Ring Size - 3

So, not right on, but not completely off either.

For what it's worth.. I buy children's size Uggs because they're a lot cheaper..

<sigh> I don't go to the shoe store and look for shoes I like. I go to the shoe store and ask the lady what they have in my size. Then I choose the nicest of the "non-ugly" shoes.

It does work for my step dad, shoe size 14, ring size 14. So I agree that's it's more likely to be accurate for men.

And it's nice to see there ARE other women out there with big feet! I've been having a heck of a time the last 2 weeks finding running shoes in an 11

Yes that's what I was hoping for ~ it would make a lot of guys' lives easier out there trying to figure out their ladies' finger size! And us girls too I guess... Oh well, let's continue being creative!

It's interesting though, there is often the assumption that taller women have larger hands and shorter/smaller women will have tiny hands. I'm tall and have small hands, and I've met tiny women with substantial hands. But feet? haha another story.

My husband's ring size is 8.5 and so are his shoes
My ring size is a 5.25-5.5 and although I wear size 7.5 in women's shoes, I buy BOY's 5.5 basketball shoes!

So it totally works with Boys/Mens's shoe size, and not womens
