Hello,
Looking for a super sparkly round solitaire under 5K including setting (but I just want a plain white gold band so those seem to run around 400, so no more than 4600 for the diamond) - I'm okay with down to J in color so I figure ill compromise there, ok with down to si1 if eye-cleanish (as long as the flaw is less visible than the black carbon spot on the ring we returned, id be ok sacrificing here to get a better cut), best cut possible and largest carat size possible. So sparkle/cut is most important to me, then size, then I'm less picky with color (I may even be ok with K, I don't know, new at this). I could care less about paying more to have the most ideal ratios or any of the other things you diamond experts here get particular about.
Original ring was 1.07 carats. Hoping I won't be able to tell much of a difference size wise, but understand I will probably have to go under a carat and from what I've seen online, may have to go as small as .80-.85 to get the cut I want. Will probably want to upgrade down the road so we want to go with a company with a good upgrade policy. Also, are there black Friday deals on diamonds? Is that worth spending some time to research? If anyone has companies or hopefully specific diamonds to recommend, please let me know! Thank you for anyone who can help me search - I'm a bit overwhelmed
