I'm a big fan of putting the money in the diamond rather than a price-y setting. It's so much easier to upgrade a setting in the future, if you ever feel the need. I love solitaires, too. For me, it's all about the diamond. This ring is gorgeous and a great value. I love a diamond that is just a teeny smidge under a magic number! I would totally call it a "one an half" carat diamond. It looks white, sparkly and big. I'm sure it's hard to wait to wear this beauty full time, but be patient. This is an exciting time and I'm sure your boyfriend wants the proposal to be perfect. Enjoy every moment of it.
