Advice on Plastic Model

I decided to start a new thread as my pictures got buried at the bottom of my first thread (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/help-with-cad-please.249950/). I am working with David Klass on designing a halo for a 7mm stone. This is my inspiration ring:

However, this ring has a 7.7mm stone, so the proportions will be different on a 7mm stone. David also does this style with 5 stones in each of the four sections of the halo:

He originally planned to use 5 stones per section based on the size of my center stone, but I prefer the 3 stone look. I've attached some pictures of the plastic model he sent me. I dropped a CZ in for reference and would wear it with this wedding band. It looks like the stones are spaced pretty far apart, and they are not shared prong because of this.

Does anyone have any opinions on how this will look in the real ring? I'm having trouble visualizing despite having the model. I think the shank is just a touch too wide, so I've asked him if it's possible to go to 2mm (currently 2.22). Otherwise, what do you think? Should I ask for larger halo stones to be used, go back to 5 stones per section, or scrap the entire design if it's just not going to work with a 7mm stone?

Current cad melee is 1.6 and 1.5.
I’d just ask for a cad to view what it would look like with 1.8 and 2.0 melee, without scaling up the halo outline design any, or totally minimal amount. Or 2.0 and 2.2mm. Or whatever.

I wonder if any of the previous owners of this ring design from DK still have their CAD available to post next to an actual item photo? That will give you an idea of how much metal shrinkage to expect in the metal between the halo stones.

Thanks Rfisher, I inserted the link to my previous post above as well. I appreciate the link to the post on ideal halo ratio. I saw that elle_71125 has this same design in the 5 stone style! I think asking to see a CAD with larger stones is a good idea.
