Thanks again @Acinom for starting this thread. So happy to see so many lovely gems.

Also it made me realize that I have a clear lean for ovals! Or probably that ovals are easier to find readymade settings for, haha.

Various lighting but no bright sunlight which is when the tourmalines really look good imo.

Sooo I've probably definitely been spending way too much time stalking gem dealers on Insta lately, and ended up buying a pair of 5x4mm ovals Paraibas (and a pair of Jedi spinel) last month from Desert Rose. They've literally been sitting on my desk while I work from home every day, so of course...

One more cushion picture, because I found it while looking for oval pictures. @Acinom regarding that ruby ring, the story is that I bought it as-is from Enhoerning Jewelry. It was on the Enhoerning Etsy page for a long time and it didn't move me because the Etsy pictures made it look hot pink, but then I saw a picture on Instagram where it looked red, and I was intrigued by the color shift. Once Inken sent it to me, I loved it almost as soon as I wore it on my finger. It does tend to photograph as pinkish or purplish in strong natural light with a UV component.

How about a small but perfectly formed and mysterious oval piece of jade. I adore this ring. I think it’s my favorite ring I own. In the daylight, I don't thing I've seen a more stunning gem...

your rings are so gorgious. I haven't worn any rings since March 2020, since I either wear gloves all day or have to wash the daylights out of my hands constantly.

I understand. I just started wearing my rings again recently. I don't wear them most days because of hand washing and hand sanitizer. Sad but best.

My pleasure...the ring was made by a local jeweler using recycled gold for the band (gold charms donated by my mum and MIL). The bezel cup is a stock setting and I asked for the sides to be cut away to turn it into a semi bezel and the tiny diamonds on each corner came from the shoulders of my gran's engagement ring. It was a bit of a family effort The zircon originally came from an antique pin.
