Dreamer and GemFever...I was gone all afternoon and it is a little too late to get a decent picture as it is not so bright now. I will try tomorrow, though!
I did take the diamond with me on our trip today, and I enjoyed looking at it in the car since my husband drove! I still could not see color face up, but the tint of the car windows does make both diamonds take on a little tint from the sides. But outside, I can barely see any!
And I really think you won't see any color outside. I have an L as you know and I honestly seriously cannot see any color from it outside. It is so gorgeous and white and bright that I cannot believe it is an L. Inside it depends on the lighting/the wall colors/what I am wearing but most of the time it appears quite white. Even from the sides and face up well, it's just so white. So while you have to make sure this is the case for you and your gorgeous AVR too I bet it is! I cannot wait to see this beauty on your hand DS!(If that's what you decide is the right for you ofc!) So excited for you!!
I really believe you about the face up view! Truly, well cut stones face up really white! I am not worried about this color at all at this point. Wintotty has an AVR that is lower in color than this one, and it has to be beautiful if she accepted it after having a D AVC!
Speaking of seeing rings on hands...how about coming to Vegas, Missy???!!!! Please?!!!
Missy! I would toooootally give it bak to you! Just send it over and I PROMISE that I will take care of it. Girl Scott's honor. Cross my heart. And if all else fails and I get tempted... I have a feeling if I sent my ring without me to the Vegas GTG most PSers would be satisfied hahaha!![]()
And I think YT would be just the one to show it off!![]()
(I just might not get it back though...JK!)

I've been doing that a lot lately. Or posting in the middle of the night when I'm half asleep and not remembering what I wrotehaha
Anyway, I am reeealllly loving this OEC, I mean AVR. See what I mean! It's the perfect cut combination! The light performance of an AVR but the closest look of an OEC I have seen! You really gotta keep this stone DS! Plus, unlike Missy, you're coming to the GTG and getting kidnapped by meJust wanted to give you a heads up just in case you wanted to come prepared with magazines and water and food.
I'm not that fun in real life. I'll tell you a secret, I'm that clear eyes commercial dudediamondseeker2006 said:YT|1364764952|3417543 said:Hi DS, I thought I posted when you first made the thread but I went back through all the posts and I don't think I did. Thanks everyone! I agree about the cut, Heidi! It does make all the difference and I am glad you went with well cut stones for earrings, too! Thus far I cannot think of a reason not to go with this one. I love the size and don't think I'd be happy going down in size after having this one. So I'd say this one is pretty certain unless something totally unforeseen happens!

I'd love to know your thoughts on the AVR v. MRB. Will you be keeping the MRB that I see in the shots?

Well, I can't keep the MRB if I go with a 2+ ct stone. Had I gone with an AVR under 2 cts, I condsidered the idea of keeping the 1.58 MRB to make into a 3 stone ring. But I already have some right hand rings and I am afraid it would be a waste anyway. Before seeing this stone in person, I was struggling with going with a larger MRB versus an AVR since there is a price premium for the specialty cut over a H&A stone. After seeing this stone, I am going to have to say that all things considered, I do love the AVR more. I still struggle a little about the price being higher than H&A stones, but I understand the reason as he has to start out with larger rough to cut these. He had to buy a 1.9 ct stone to recut to the 1.7, so it just costs more at the outset. And of course, it is a more rare diamond as well.

The faceting pattern really appeals to me. I haven't read through the entire thread so I have no idea if you love it or not, but I do hope you get the AVR of your dreams as you have been waiting far more patiently then I ever could!

And finally I do like the size on your finger. I think it looks perfect! Tell me you are keeping it!

Thanks so much for the rely! I recently upgraded my e-ring to an AVR but I'm already wanting biggeras I think AVR's/OEC's need to be a little larger in order to fully appreciate the beauty of the cut! Whilst I love my AVR, I'm beginning to think I may have a little itch for a MRB (having never had one before!) and hence the interest in those going from MRB to OEC/AVR or OEC/AVR to MRB.
