The 110.03 carat Sun-Drop diamond will lead Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels Sale in Geneva on November 15, 2011. The GIA graded fancy vivid yellow, VVS1 diamond was recently on exhibition at London’s Natural History Museum. (Click to watch minerals curator Alan Hart discuss the Sun-Drop) The stone is the largest known pear shaped yellow diamond in the world and is estimated to sell for $11-15 million.
