Yes it is and several of us PSers have owned it, including me, but I had to send it on its way recently. It went to the next one in line waiting. What a gorgeous piece!

Callie - just saw this. I sold many pieces recently to fund the purchase of two new horses that we have not been able to find yet. My DH and I found this past 10 months, after losing my gelding and selling his, that we cannot be without them in our life. So the ruby is gone, my sapphire OEC is gone and my reset halo among others is also gone. And I am completely happy about it! The love of an animal overrides stones and metal any day for me! The new owner of the ruby is here at PS and maybe will show herself.

I've always thought that Vashon setting was fabulous! I've thought about putting a high crowned AVR in it; the architectural nature of the profile would be just incredible.

This ring is SO iconic. It's sad, but I've seen the arrows pic all over the 'net. It's a compliment to Yssie because it's such a perfect photo that everyone wants to use it, but it is everywhere. It's that iconic!

Sometimes the iconic pieces turn up thick and fast!

Firstly, the prize for 'Most Impressive Entrance' almost certainly goes to new PS member, Ihagedorn! With her 5ct VVS2 yellow diamond stunner dripping with extra diamonds in her setting, this finger full of eye-candy is extra delicious!

I also can't recall a larger yellow diamond on PS (which is what makes this amazing ring such a stand-out!), but if I'm wrong on that and someone would like to correct me - please do!

When it popped up recently in another thread about round stones with cushion shaped halos, I was reminded that this cushion halo'd White Flash ACA round brilliant by Victor Canera was perhaps the premiere example of this style of setting I'd ever seen.

So here is mns12's 2.07ct I VS2 Whiteflash ACA stunner in a VC cushion style halo. Gorgeous, and an iconic example of the cushion set round diamond. Check out the soft, pillowy finish! Sublime!

So funny that at the end of your last post you mentioned that you would like to see a similar setting with a colored stone.. it just so happened that I have just that! I never got around to making it's own thread.
However.. here it is!
It's a 3 carat Burmese ruby that has heat treatment with a halo and a matching wedding band. I recently got it as a 25th Anniversary present from my dear hubs. I searched for just the right stone.. I knew I wanted a heart and after viewing many chose just the right one. Sort of like when I chose the hubs way back in 1990!

Well actually thank you for asking about this beauty!

I have been a enthusiastic customer there for 20 years.. the owner Michael Gross and both of his sons are just wonderful!!
Michael brought in a few stones for me to look at and also had his jeweler make the setting and the matching band. I could not have been happier with the whole process.

Redwood, I just now saw your reply. I completely understand why you let this beautiful ring go. I know how hard the loss of your gelding affected you. Jewels are wonderful but don't fill our hearts the way our pets/animals do. It made me so happy to read this post. I hope you have found your new baby. Callie
