I finally found my ruby ring!!!!! I have been looking for a while for an unheated Burmese ruby that would make me feel excited, and I finally found it!

The glow is unmatched!!! And the color is so yummy in real life, more red than in the pictures. It's a very small ruby- 5mm x 4mm, but so glowy! Plus I am in love with the setting, it's an antique ring from the 1940s!

it's gorgeous!

I have a tiny heart shaped diamond and am having a little charm/pendant made for my daughter, similar to this one.

Here is the stone and cert. I thought it might be too small for the project, but Amy at DK says its a good size for it, so I'm going forward. It will be engraved on the back with her dogs name and the date that she rescued her. I think my daughter will love it.

I love this idea! I’m a foster fail collector of dogs. I must look into this - it’s a meaningful jewelry piece.

I'm not a foster fail, but an adopter of a rescue and volunteer for the rescue group that placed my guy with me. So rescue runs in the family and our dogs are part of our family, so that's why I think she will love it. It's her first dog living on her own and not home with me.

I just wanted to say that I haven't fostered, but have rescued. However it happens, saving these pups from their prior circumstances is heartwarming. And thank you for helping.

I’m sure she’ll love it! I wear my paw pendant all the time. Best use of heart shaped gems in my opinion haha.

I feel lucky for nabbing this from EBay. Now I gotta wait a whole month cuz I am leaving town for vacation and don't want it stuck at the post office. Just my size, pretty good deal Screenshot_20240630-193214~2.png

Ohhh is that the five band rolling ring @fiona00004 I love it! I actually have two Cartier trinity’s, the small and extra small but I have always loved this one too!!

Thank you so much!!!! I am still obsessed with it, it's very hard to capture but the ruby is so bright, vibrant and glowy!

I went to check on a ring that my sister wanted - and ended up buying something for myself… have you had a similar experience ? :loopy:
I snapped it up because I have always wanted a ring with two types of phenomenal stones. The Tsavorites were a bonus.

My sister picked up this beautiful 14k rope style bracelet for me, from her Costco in the U.S. (She has same bracelet.) Right after I snagged this, the price went up20240702_103913.jpg

I just ordered this little pair of spinels. Hopefully, they'll go with my dark purple garnet, somehow.

Here's the purple (umbalite) garnet. Sometimes it lights up to a wonderful magenta color and other times it is just a dark lump. I think I'll try getting it recut.

top ring was a makeover from a lab opal and replaced it with tourmaline.
The bottom pic is geniune ruby and diamond and I have never seen such red rubies!

My favorite (and the most dangerous!) thread on PS is 'Somebody's Gotta Buy This Piece'. I had sent a link to my partner of something on TRR that seemed like a good deal but I resisted buying it because I didn't actually need it. It sold before I had a chance to post it on the thread. Turns out it was because he got it for me! It was listed as 0.69ctw of diamonds in 14k white gold weighing 3.5g for $340. It's not quite as sparkly as my known H&A melee but they're still very white, the chain is a nice diamond-cut chain so it's sparkly too, and I think it'll make a good everyday layering piece, especially compared to a Graff necklace that I love but is super overpriced.

Please excuse the freckled chest situation, I haven't been good about my sunscreen and I need it more living in California now than I did when I lived on the east coast.

The Graff cutie, 0.31ctw for a mere $6900:
