Thanks so much - this helps a lot! Yes, could not agree more about whiteflash - that is where I purchased my solitaire and Liza is the best - customer service is always above and beyond. the proportions on your ring are perfect!!
More than welcome and thank you for the compliment. Please come back and post photos if you decide to go for it! I am always surprised there are not more people on PS with this setting.
ETA: LOVE Liza. She really is the greatest. I'm so picky and she has the patience of a saint.
Hi there,
Your ring is beautiful. I have a 2.9 carat, size solitaire on Vatche setting from WF and contemplating on upgrading to three stone. I am a bit concerned that I may end up with a huge ring as, the side diamonds, if I follow the advice above, would be 0.7 - 1 carat. Anyone has any thoughts, advice, or pictures of similar sized diamonds?
You may use whatever size side stones you want. I used .33 with a 2.53 diamond as I wanted them to be accent stones. Some use larger as they want a more traditional three stone ring. What is your finger size?

You can see lots of examples in the threads that were listed for you. This is a 2.53 center with .33 side stones on a size 5.5 finger. There are lots of variables to consider as well - height of center stone, angle of side stones and your finger width. If you measure your finger in mm, the mm of your center stone and add the mm of each of whatever side stone you are considering, you might get a good feel for how much finger space you have to work with.I'm a size 6. I prefer the bigger side stones, but am not sure what's the biggest I could go without overwhelming my finger.
