which setting do you like better?

So, much to my FI''s dismay, we are resetting my 1ct. RB
I was so sure I wanted the classic tiffany style solitaire setting, and that is what he gave me, but then I saw this tacori walk into my life and it just flipped my world upside down

Here is the ring I saw that started this whole thing. I went out the next week to find it, but when I went to try it on at the B&M they didn''t have it, so I tried on the halo (second pic).
I haven''t been able to see them side by side in person, and I just cant decide which I like better! I love the halo from the top, but I love the other one from the side... The halo makes me think "holy moly my ring is big" but the other one seems more delicate.
Oh jeez, this is why I wanted a solitaire in the first place, I''m just so indecisive!!!

This may seem like a strange question, but would the halo make my center stone sparkle less?

I love both of them, but I remember a thread from January of 2005 by Brwnidgrl511 filled swith stunning pictures of the 2nd ring with the small halo. It was gorgeous... This is the one picture that was posted to SMTR. Center diamond is .82, with .11 in beadset diamonds for the halo, size 4.75.

Ow the first one is so pretty, I kind of rank that on my list with the Flame and the swan. Yum so many lovely choices to choose from what is a girl to do. I am really not a fan of the second one.

I love the first one! The second one is just as pretty, but it seams like the first one is the one that you originally had your heart set on.

I tried on the first one, and although it is lovely, it sits very high! Since you haven't seen that one in person, try to make sure you do before committing.

Thanks for all the responses! I did a google image search and had to laugh when I found BOTH the rings I''m looking at in a ps post from 06! I am attaching a pic of them side by side for comparison.
I have actually seen both rings in person, just not together, and each time I put one of them on I think "this is the one" and then I put the other one on and I think "no, this is the one"

Both rings sit up much higher than my current ring, but I think we like that because it allows the 2 eternity wedding bands to sit closer to the e-ring.

I like the non-halo ring - I had actually tried that one on at a local B&M, and it was gorgeous!

Another vote for the first one. They''re both pretty, but the first one''s crown and basket really set off the center stone!!!

I can see why you''re having a tough time deciding!! Halos really are gorgeous!!!


Do you have a wedding band in mind yet? Maybe look at both of ''em with the wedding band design you like, and see which looks better? Let the wedding band be the tie-breaker? Because both really are very pretty.
