This is such a great thread! So good to see that despite being on a diamond forum, we haven't lost sight of what is most important in life
I am thankful for:
--my parents' health. What they have both gone through has made them all the more stronger to enjoy their lives today.
--all my grandparents. Despite not being able to see them frequently, I am glad that they are all still alive.
--my education. I know I complain about school and classes and rotations to friends and SO but in the end, it's amazing that I had the opportunity to go to school to learn about something I am passionate about. I'm grateful that I know I won't have to worry about having a job in 10 or 20 years and not having to worry about how I'm going to pay for my living expenses because of the security of my future career.
--my dear SO. I think it is safe to say that we have both learned a lot over the past two years and I am so grateful for him being in my life. He may not be the most romantic guy on earth but I know that he would do anything for me and obviously I would do the same for him. I'm so happy to have found someone who I can trust completely and who still makes me smile and act all giddy and who still thinks I'm the bees knees.
--my two jobs. With the economy the way it is, I am grateful to have two part-time jobs not just for the money (although that is the other thing that is great--I am glad that I can work enough to pay for my living expenses and not have to rely on federal loans) but for the professional experience that I gain by working in my future field, and the time management skills that are necessary to work two part-time jobs and go to school full-time.
--the fact that I live in the good ole USA and have the opportunities to daydream about diamonds and spend time researching them to my little heart's desire ...this includes internet, the house over my head, electricity, etc etc. All the first world luxuries that we often take for granted.
