Another of Belle''s ring, because the pictures are so pretty. I love this ring, but worry these proportions won''t be blingy enough on my size 6 hand. I think she is a 4.5 or something.

Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhh.... .33 is perfect

alleycat0303''s sister''s ring. Those are perfect proportions IMHO for a three stone. Lots of bling, tons of finger coverage, but center stone is still the main attraction KWIM...
I know! But her finger is a size 3.5, smaller than my pinky. It wouldn''t look so finger-coverage-alishious on me I am afraid

I love the W prong setting! I think Brian Gavin has a similarly swoopy kind of low set three stone, but I can''t remember off the top of my head who has it.

Coconutpig has a 1.2 center diamond and .50ct sides.

For my taste the .5 are a tad too big if you like the center stone to stand out (though still gorgeous

). Do you have one with .4 sides?

Hey I know I am kind of late to the party. But the e-ring with earring shot I put up (the one you commented on) is a 1.148 center and each stud is about 1/3 ct. I think they are about 4.5 mm in width.

Jaktrax has 1.5ct center and .36 sides, which would be like me having .30 sides.

Oh yeah! Hey, if you have time and are bored (yeah right), maybe you can take a picture for me with the studs sort of placed next to the stone on your hand or something for me??

Kasey3's Leon mege with 1.2 center and .56ct sides. BLING!!

This is the 2:1 ratio that Tiffany's uses.

Again... This is a style of setting I really love because it is simple, low, and each diamond has a *distinct* outline.

kathleenmv's 1.2ct with .40ct sides, like DiaDiva's on an earlier page. This one has fishtail prongs, which look really purdy.

Aprilbaby''s 1.2ct center and .40 sides. It is interesting to me how different the proportions look depending on the setting.

Here is mochi211''s ring, which is a 1.4cent and .30 sides.... so like my diamond with roughly .22 sides.

NOVAK''s ring, alluded to earlier in the thread, has a 1.2 center and .60 sides.

Vergey''sI ct center with .30 sides.... so like having .33 sides with my diamond. This proportions is growing on me

Uh...yeah...sure, I will get right on that ;-)

So I got a pic, and my computer will not connect to the internet at my father''s house. I will put it up though (even though it looks similar to the recent ones you put up. It''s a fun pic, that look would give my size 6 finger full finger coverage for sure.

Hi DD, Merry Christmas. I am waiting for my kids to get up so I thought I would post my ring for reference since the center is 1.27. It might not be helpful to you but maybe someone out there. My sides are very large. I guess what they call a triple but with sapphires. I decided to go that route because the sapphires were such a contrast from my E colored diamond that the stone pops in the center and I could pull off the larger stones (I''m a size 6). It gives my ring such a large look and for some reason people have guessed the centerstone to be larger because the ring has a large overall presence. However, If I did diamond sides I would have gone smaller. So, the center stone is 1.27 cts (7mm) and the sapphires are 1.27 each (6.4mm). My ring was originally a solitaire before resetting is 7 years ago. I''ve always loved 3 stones. I am sure whatever you choose will be stunning.

With my 5 stone band....

IMG_65491p.jpg

Here is a hand shot with my 5 stone band. I was unable to wear my 5 stone with my solitaire because if was overpowering but now I can which brings on the extra bling. I also have a smaller diamond band with 10 pointers that I wear on a dialy basis with it and a plain band. I love to mix it up because I can wear just about any band with it and it sits flush.

IMG_65621p.jpg

whoa, sorry...I don''t know why that last one was so big!

I forgot to mention that the 5 stone band has .20 each for reference and size...

My favorite three stone has a 3 carat center and one carat sides. The 3:1 ratio is most pleasing to my eyes.
