We need a place to shine light on the old miners out there!

This may be my favorite thread! :kiss2:

:wavey:Hello everyone!
Just received a last month from Grace.. a 3 stone old mine ring of my dreams!
I had first seen this same ring I think in 2021 online maybe on Pricescope. It looks like something that a PSer would have. At first I thought it was the ring that @KristyDarling has on her avatar but after closer inspection I realized it wasn't the same ring.
When I saw the ring in 2021 I was in love! Even printed a picture of it to save for futures.
Luckily I saw it listed on Grace's site right before she came to NYC for the jewelry show in April so I could see it in person and as soon as I tried it on I knew it was going to be mine. I had her hold and it and did think about it for a week and then decided to pull the trigger. She sized it down to a 4.5 before she sent it and now a perfect fit. It's so lovely and different than anything else I have. I love the prongs.. the warm of the stones.. the open culets.. all so yum!!
So now to stop blabbing and post some pix!

I have 2 rings I can wear with it.. a Cartier rose gold thin diamond eternity band and a carved vintage plain yellow gold band.
Also included closeups of the side stones which are quite a lot whiter than the middle.

Stunning ring @Rubies-R-Me ! I am so taken by the elongated shape and the presence of three OMCs, it’s beautiful!

I think it’s interesting that I wouldn’t have noticed the side stones are much whiter until you zoomed in on them. They look very cohesive with the centre stone in your hand shots!

:wavey: Hi @Pomelo!
I wasn't sure how I felt about the side stones being whiter but I do agree they work with the ring.
I wanted a ring that was already made up as I had a less than perfect experience in the past with special ordering a ring based on pictures.
As soon as I saw this ring on Grace's site I couldn't wait to try it on in person and as I said the timing was perfect since she was coming to NYC for a show in April and I saw the ring a few weeks before that on her site.
Thanks again for the compliments!

I have been wearing the ring with a different band now.. a plainer one.
Originally this ring was white gold but I had it dipped for $25 and now it's a perfect match.

Wow @Rubies-R-Me that is a stunning ring! It’s interesting about the color difference of the sides and center. That was really common in antiques. Color matching didn’t seem to be a priority for them, it was more about the overall aesthetic it seems. And your ring has that is spades!

Thanks so much Dream_D!
I felt so lucky to find this ring all made up as I didn't want to take the chance to have it made and not be exactly what envisioned. :D

Stunning ring @Rubies-R-Me!
I’ve been racking my brain trying to remember who originally designed this beauty. I believe it was Erica from
Love Affair Diamonds (LAD). It was her personal piece for a short time. I don’t know who owned it after that. Anyway, lovely addition to your amazing collection!

Oh yay!!! Thanks so much for posting this @Bonfire!! I feel like my ring was adopted and just found her birth mother!!!
I knew somebody would recognize it!
I don't have the carat weights right now but will tomorrow and I will double check the weights but that certainly sounds right.. will report back tomorrow.
I love the bands she paired it with too.
Going to look at LAD's website at the bottom ring.
Thanks again!! It's like Ancestry.com for rings!

Check out her Instagram, she has several better photos of it there :kiss2: My quick video screen shots doesn’t do it justice. Erica has gotten out if the sling bling business but maybe Caysie can make something similar.

I shall do that. Thanks again.. it's so fun to find out the ring's roots.
So the setting was originally Caysie's? Or did Erica make settings?

It’s definitely Erica’s design and she made settings also. She used the same bench that CVB used, at least at that time. They even worked together for a short time. You can see the similarities in the work quality. If you are interested in that band I’d contact Caysie.

:wavey: Thanks for all the info. I thought it looked like a Caysie design. I'm not familiar with Erica's pieces.
