Yes, I read about your solasfera.. and you said in your tread that you love the Solasfera.. that was one of the opinion I took when deciding if I wanted a Solasfera over a 57 cut...

You see, in Asia here, the Solasfera is really a rare brand and unheard of....... It is not sold in my country at all and other parts of Asia except there is a jeweller in HK that is the authorised dealer of Solasfera............ The price in Hong Kong is ridiculous too .

I think not many people own a Solasfera unless they buy from Jon (GOG) ... but there are many people in Singapore that have 57 cut diamonds... Thus I thought I just want something different from others here...

Can someone tell me how do I wash the stone to maintain its fire and scintillation?

To clean my jewelry I just use Dawn dishwashing soap on a soft toothbrush, and hot water. And sometimes I soak it first if it''s really dirty. I sometimes use an ultrasonic cleaner, but I don''t think it''s any more effective than my toothbrush (well, mine isn''t- it''s cheap though

) Any type of dishwashing soap that cuts grease really well works fine.

Most people leave their jewelry all filthy, if yours is clean it''ll look sooooo much better than most rings you see day to day.

I usually clean my ring every other day, but it took me about a year to get that lazy, lol. I pretty much kept it obsessively clean at first.

If your setting is platinum you can use ammonia based jewelry cleaner safely too- a lot of the jewelry cleaner you buy at, say, the supermarket or whatever, is ammonia based. I sometimes use ammonia cleaner if I want to clean my ring at work (Windex to be specific), but I think dishwashing soap works better. (Smells better too!)

I have started a new topic ... cos I have bought a wedding band to hold the solasfera in place .. and stop it from dropping off my finger..
enjoy the pictures ya...

please give me your comments whether I should have 2 bands and wear the Solasfera in between the 2 bands or just have 1 band with the Solasfera?
