That would be an easier solution than having to get the ring resized. I love the look of your ring! I think that''s the exact same ring my brother will be getting his FF

. Are you ok with the height of the basket? For some, it bothers them, while for others (like myself) it doesn''t. So if it bothers you, you could potentially get it set lower than go and replace the setting completely. I think it makes your diamond pop like crazy! And that rock definitely stand out!!

Thanks for your suggestions really...I was quite upset . Firstly I thought the ring wasnt that pretty afterall .. Secondly I have so much small issues to deal with now...

Freefly - Thanks for your suggestion... May I ask what are these "beads soldered on to the inside of band"? Do you have a picture on this? sorry, i have not seen such ring and is curious about how does it look like? How does it work?
You mentioned 2 bumps installed on the inside of the ring.. What are these??

Luckyeshe - I think I am ok with the height too... because I do not wear it at home all day.. i only wear it when I go out or to work. I am quite old and do not do adventurous activities too... My most adventurous activity would be to "run for the bus" I think... Your suggestion is good.. If i can find a solution to the existing band, I will do it.. but if I cannot, then I will reset it onto another band and set it lower too. I had it set higher because I thought it is nice to show the tip of the diamond... But I love the tiffany knife edge setting too... maybe I will consider that if I cannot find a solution to the exiting ring.

So sorry my friends,, I have not seen such bumps, beads, horseshoe, sizing balls.. and so I do not know what are they? Will the jewellers know? So far, I have been to 5 jewellers but none of them mentioned all those you have mentioned .. This made me wonder if they have such things too?

I have custom made this "tiffany" inspired ring... The date in roman characters is 8.2.95 which is my wedding date...
The original tiffany ring has roman characters 3,6,9,12 whereas mine is 8.2.95 on one half of the ring and repeated 8.2.95 on the other half of the ring. As the date is special to me... I love this ring very much.. so I am always taking picture of it with my solasfera!

8 in chinese is auspicious. 2 combined with 8 is very auspicious ... means easy to obtain fortune!!!

All these years,, I seldom pamper myself with anything or any jewelleries...
For some reasons, i just felt like pampering myself this year.. and I parted with some savings...

In July 09, I bought a Rolex ... then in August 09, I custom made my auspicious ring (the ring that is taken together with the Solasfera) and in September 09, I bought this Solasfera! ... I was thinking of a tennis bracelet last month (terrible me!) but I had decided 3 of these babies are enough!

It seems that whether bridge or beads .. it is personal preference to individual..
It also seems to me that the bridge is more comfortable than the balls inside the ring..
I shall check with the local jeweller to see if they do such thing.. no one mentioned this to me when I was at their shops... weird...

Here's a pic of my ring with the sizing bumps. They're just two beads soldered to the inside of the band. You don't feel them at all- at least I don't, and neither do the other ladies I know who have them. And like I said, they make my 1 1/2 to 2 size too big ring fit fine. Mine are a bit biggish, since my ring was far too big. If your ring is only 1 size too big you'd probably want them a bit smaller.

Sorry, I don't have any pics of a horseshoe sizer. It just looks like a horseshoe shape soldered into the inside band, very thin and flexible, that grips your finger but bends to let you put it on. The bottom is solid and then the open part of the horseshoe shape is underneath the stone. They're especially good if you have big knuckles, I think.

Also I think your ring is gorgeous as is, and not small looking at all. If I had a round brilliant I'd be tempted to set it in a skinny pave band like that!

Yes, I wanted a thin band because I thought the stone will look bigger if the band looks smaller..

Also, thin band looks dainty to me.. and lastly it will not steal the limelight of the diamond...

The diamond must be the centre of attention ya..
