My old Jube is 5.3 mm and the new one is 5.8 mm. In my old post in RT, there was concern that a 0.5 mm may not be noticeable enough. What helps in this upgrade is also the added rounded corners of the new cushion. This makes it look larger when compared to the clipped corners of the Jubilee.

This is an existing setting. This setting held the original Jubilee stone from GOG. I had Wink make it (sourced out to a jeweller in NY). I didn''t want to do a semi-upgrade but this stone took my breath away. What swayed my decision was that I didn''t need a new setting. GOG said that they fit it in, so I didn''t need to "waste" money on a temporary setting on the way to the final upgrade. When I have my final upgrade, I''ll set my red spinels as side stones and will most likely splurge on a Leon setting.

Wink sourced these dreamy sapphires for me: vB6/5. They are just a fantastic electric blue colour which takes care of my coloured gemstone itch while still sporting a diamond.

Nope. I changed from a Jubilee to an ''ordinary'' cushion. I looked at the Princess of Hearts and square H&As but hated their 75''s depth. I like this one because it has the stats of an old cut stone with a small table in the 50s, depth in the mid 60s, a super 18% crown height and medium culet. This is one of Jon''s hand picked cushions.

I noticed the high crown. I like that.
