Makes sense! The Tiffany 6 prong style is so elegant. If you love the Osprey, you should totally get it! I do think the stones are set high and since the prongs of the engagement ring are angled outwards, it may rub (and eat into) the prongs more... Have you considered the HC Ellinor band? I think it would look lovely!
HaydenCudworth Seven Round Diamond Wedding and Anniversary Ring - 7 Diamonds
The "Ellinor" ring has seven round diamonds lined up in shared prongs, perfect for a wedding or anniversary. Comes in platinum, white, yellow, rose gold.haydencudworth.com
I don't like the Ellinor as much because it doesn't have open sides, it's all metal on the sides, and unfortunately they don't have it for home try-on so I can't see it in person before committing to it.
How long would it take for the diamonds to eat into the prongs enough that it would cause problems? I will be wearing them together 24/7, would it be like a year or 20 years or 50 years? And would it be something I could just take to any jeweler to have that prong replaced or would I need the whole head remade? Another option would be soldering them together but I would prefer not to.
