Touching up milgrain halo on platinum?

Hi All,

We're getting married in ~1 month and her ring ([URL='https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/she-said-yes-pics-and-story.161587/']https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/she-said-yes-pics-and-story.161587/[/URL]) was made by WF in platinum ~2 years ago.

It hasn't been polished since...so it'll go in for a polish (not at WF). However,since it's platinum, some of the milgrain has lost it's "edge".

Have you ever had your milgrain touched up? Will polishing wear it away even more?

I haven't had it done yet but I need to. My ring is 14k white gold and I've had it for seven years, it's time for some maintenance. I would send it back to whiteflash and let them polish and re-do the milgrain if needed. I plan on sending mine back to it's maker along with my wedding band for a full refurb, I might even have engraving added.
