Thoughts on this blue sapphire ring?

Hi! Curious what your thoughts are about this ring. I love the color of the sapphire (even if saturation could be higher). Do you think they mean “Single Stone” as in the jeweler, or is this another case of confusion because they’re just saying it’s one stone in the ring?

Blue Sapphire Ring

Thank you!

Hmmm.
The sapphire is low on vividness so it will look bland in low lighting.
The sapphire has a big window and because of lack of intensity, your skin colour will show through.
The setting is interesting being brushed gold but I’d only give the bezel finish a 5 out of 10. It’s not well done at all.
If it was very cheap I’d consider it but the sapphire isnt a great example (big window, lack of intensity, visible colour shading) and the setting bezel poorly executed.

Hello! Looks like the ring is sold, not sure if that was you. I don't have a TRR account, so I can't see the listing. But it appears they're saying it is a single stone ring, as in a solitaire. I don't love the saturation, zoning, clarity, or cut of the stone. But we all have different preferences. Did you buy it?

Thank you! Yes, I did. I figured it was worth seeing in person. I almost pulled the trigger on an emerald ring that with the same shape and setting type, and I was sad to miss out on it. I love sapphires and love the softer look of this one, but I’ll check out the windowing and all else when it arrives. I was hoping it was a Single Stone ring so I knew there was a certain level of quality, but I know they label rings that way a lot and figured that would be the case.

Please post pictures when you get it!!

Hi!
I know I’m not the only one waiting to see what stone you chose for your fabulous Tiffany Art Deco setting. Any progress on that one?

The quality of the bezel bothers me, and the stone is so so in terms of colour and cut quality.

DK :))

TRR is notorious for bad listing descriptions. In this instance; this doesn’t look like a Single Stone LA ring, it’s more genetically saying it’s a single stone ring (to be honest I really don’t like Single Stone’s name for that reason). You may like the spread of the stone, as it is large, but it looks like it’ll have a window and some deadness in the center.

Not yet! Have been working on all three settings but haven’t found the stones that sing to me. Don’t want to rush or second guess! =)2
