It’s here and it’s gorgeous! Just some quick snaps in this thread—I will update the other thread tonight or tomorrow! 0.80 to 0.90 was a bigger difference than I expected! Wow! And those rainbow arrows....

December 4, is the arrival date for my emerald cut diamond solitaire. My inner cynic is working overtime telling me that something will be glaringly wrong with it. I had the diamond inspected by a gemologist before having it set and they called it exceptionally brilliant with some fire and brighter than the majority of emerald cuts they had seen. But it's a lower color and I worry that will bother me or it really doesn't perform as well as claimed.

I saw it in a local store for $600+ but JA had it ion sale from $520 to $364! So it was time to act. I sent my diamond off today! “Due date” is Dec 3.

Lol seems like we as humans are always waiting for something, but this is a good waiting the kind of waiting where we receive something tangible and beautiful and sparkly . I hope the wait passes quickly for you!

Ah.... some perspective. I've got the waiting blues (waiting since August while I've seen people start and finish projects during this time is killing me; I feel sad and like a project that holds a lot of meaning to me is not a priority). But you're right, it's a good kind of wait. I'm not waiting for bad news.... I need to remember something sparkly is coming my way.... hopefully soon.

I am having a local jeweler make a pair of these for me! They will be 7.5 mm freshadamas with .05 studs (.10 Ctw). The leverback will be shortened so that they hug close to the lobe.

The studs are from DH before we were engaged. I have had them in my jewelry box for 18 years or more! He gave me my first pair of triple-ex studs for our first married Christmas, and I haven’t looked at these since. I have been wanting a pair of pearl/diamond studs, and this is what I decided on (after help and brainstorming by PSers!). They will be ready the week after Thanksgiving!

Wow after that amount of time I can see why you are tiered of waiting. In any case,you believe it will be there soon and it is a very unique ring so I hope it comes in soon for you and it’s everything you expected and more.

My item I have been waiting for has just arrived my baby pear from James Allen .39 g vs1 . Now all I gotta do is wait for the setting lmao but that is months away since we are waiting for a ring setting event at the local jewelers.

Is it ok to ask for an eta? I've been waiting since August, last contact was October 31 that the ring had to be recast but no eta. My husband is starting to ask if I've been swindled. I know the jeweler is legit but do I wait longer to be polite? Is it rude to ask when it will be complete? Original eta was "late October." Thanks!

Is it ok to ask for an eta? I've been waiting since August, last contact was October 31 that the ring had to be recast but no eta. My husband is starting to ask if I've been swindled. I know the jeweler is legit but do I wait longer to be polite? Is it rude to ask when it will be complete? Original eta was "late October." Thanks!

I think at this point you should ask ... they gave you no eta and it’s Nov. 26 ... I can’t see them being offended.

Thanks, @Heathcat24! It was going to be made from a pendant but I ended up having DK make the whole ring (diamonds and all) and base it on the design of the pendant.
