They look like really pretty stones and I love the final product. What piece were the diamonds in originally? I can't tell what it is from the photos.

Some of my other TRR finds:
These paraiba tourm earrings that perfectly go with my ring (I actually have a second set of paraiba tourm earrings from TRR as well):
The unheated pad sapphire that I still haven't figured out a setting for but I hate this one:
Quite well-priced Dior bracelet:
And I've also got a Memoire eternity ring in my size.
Most of these are older purchases because in recent years, there's been less stuff and it always goes on hold fast and I think people are using bots because it'll stay on hold with no breaks for days. SO I can't get anything interesting generally.
Wow! That stopped me in my tracks! What a stunning find. Enjoy! It’s so beautiful.
I ended up with a bunch of promotional credit to RealReal that expired last night so as much as I don’t want to admit it, I gave into the marketing and bought a ring. It has the most odd specs that I’ve seen. The center stone isn’t accounted for and then at the bottom in the “non-weighted” diamonds, it lists a 5.8mm so I’m guessing that’s the middle stone. I can’t tell which diamonds are brilliant cut — most look euro to me. The 3 largest stones don’t appear to have the big puffy crowns that I love but we’ll see.
I figure I can always return, especially since the specs are so wonky but it looks like a pretty substantial ring for the price. What do you all think?

This is my first TRR purchase! I don’t live in the US so needed to have this shipped to a friend and it’s taken nearly half a year for the ring to finally end up with me.
It’s a Sabbadini Honeycomb ring and I was captivated by the hexagon cut stones as well as the prong-free setting. It reminds me of VCA’s mystery setting!
Before the pics, I’d love some help please!
1. The whitish “grime” between the stones have been hard to get off. I’ve given her two hot baths with dish soap and it still stubbornly remains, but am worried that the ultrasonic may damage the setting / loosen the stones. Am I not cleaning it right, or could it actually be glue holding the stones together?
2. What is the right word for how these sapphires are set?
I have to admit - the sapphires are quite dark (especially when worn) but I do see some beautiful flashes of royal blue when the light hits it right. However, it’s hard to capture these flashes on my phone!
Edit: here she is before I gave her a bath

What patience, @Pomelo ! It is such a statement piece. This is my first TRR purchase! I don’t live in the US so needed to have this shipped to a friend and it’s taken nearly half a year for the ring to finally end up with me.

What an unusual ring! How does the underside look? Usually the invisible set stones are sort of snapped into a delicate frame? If that’s the case, then it would be safe to say that isn’t glue. And who’d glue real sapphires anyway??
Thanks @luckygreen317 ! Do you think I can take the epoxy glue off safely? Uncle Google tells me to soak the piece in rubbing alcohol or acetone-based nail varnish remover! The bold design of hexagon shaped sapphires in an invisible setting is really unique. I can’t imagine the level patience it took to puzzle-piece the stones together into that bombe’ shape. It’s a very cool statement ring. My guess is that may be jewelry epoxy residue needed to create the design.
Thanks @Star gazer , would love to see your original wedding set!Gorgeous @Pomelo!!As luckygreen317 and AllyT mentioned, looks like an invisible setting. My original wedding set is set this way, but with diamonds.
What patience, @Pomelo ! It is such a statement piece.
Re: your question #2, I am not sure but maybe VCA could shed some light?
