My rings which I have loved for nearly 10 years have just been cleaned and polished so no better time to show them off! :D

And a fun pic I took through the jeweller's microscope. You can see grain lines, which while can't be seen with the naked eye, give the stone "character" I think :)

It's really impossible to capture the rainbow or sparkle without video

@emeraldhummingbird, your set is absolutely gorgeous!! I love everything about it. What a beautiful oval. And your pics are fantastic :kiss2:

@emeraldhummingbird , what a great picture of your rings! They must feel brand new! I also have an oval that I love. What are the details on this gorgeous one?

They absolutely do. I was floored by the difference a polish makes!! They had gotten so scratched over the years I didn't really notice and sort of forgot how sparkly they were *supposed* to be.

She is a 1.22/G/IF oval. I didn't pick, but I think my partner did an excellent job :)

Thank you, so much!
these are my permanent RHR.. these were made for my significant bday next year... i thought it would take me some time, a very long time to find the stones and design. Well, the solitaire stone took a little bit of time. the rest was easier to locate. Fortunately for me, the stone was found sooner than expected... and greedy me.... i cant wait till next year to wear them... so, i get to wear them for about 2 years before i officially get them! LOLOLOLOLOLOL

and i do hope that you are feeling better about your earrings.

I can tell how much thought & effort you put into your jewellery & why, therefore, your husband not wearing that bracelet you had made would be upsetting. Everything you have done is spectacular & so well executed! And thank you, yes, I wore my 'big' set today & I was so busy with rushing around at school, that I completely forgot about them. And that was nice :praise:

Thank you. I told you I am jewelry nutter....and that set is my LHR, not RHR! Typing too quick and not really checking.

And, that is super awesome about your earrings..Am glad that is how it went down. Enjoy them for what they are- blingy earrings!

My reset right hand ring arrives tomorrow! I received two pics just now. It is exactly how I pictured it and yet better than I could have imagined! I’m so excited I’m like a little kid on Christmas Eve! 47B84E47-E99E-45D7-BB2A-06E891DBF1CE.jpeg B8739E7D-2080-40E6-B626-53977F34542A.jpeg

My new CVB Norah (made from repurposed earring diamonds!) + my OEC and OMC engagement ring. IMG_8257.jpeg IMG_8245.jpeg

I don't plan to wear them together all the time but sometimes... girl just gotta have a little extra sparkle

Was your engagement ring from Erstwhile per chance? The original antique one?

I think I may have copied it for my reproduction :oops2:

Either way- would love to see more pictures and hear more about it!

So this is my first post here and thus you guys don't know this, but the Pricescope forums were a HUGE help when my fiance and I were shopping for my engagement ring. I knew nothing about expensive jewelry going into this purchase, but lurking on PS for months gave me enough information to proceed.

I knew I wanted a sapphire center stone, and after having seen the icky sapphires on offer at the mall, I was ready to order online using some of the people who come highly recommended by people on this forum. My fiance was not into that because us picking my ring and stone out in person was very important to him. After going around and visiting just about every jeweler in the city, big and small, independent or chain, we ended up at Mariloff at the World Trade Center, which was the only place where the salespeople seemed to understand the phrase "sapphire center stone." I was initially going after fairly light and greyish sapphires, because I think those are gorgeous, but when they brought this one out I had to have it. I've contemplated getting it recut because there's some extinction (you'll see it in the pictures), but I don't know if that could be done without changing the surface size much. I've tried to include pictures with different lighting so you can see all the ways the color looks. Also, at the time I got it, I didn't pay attention to the prongs at all, but now (months and months later!), I wish I'd thought more about prongs early on so I could have had them made skinnier and not so chunky and bulbous. Overall, though, I am incredibly satisfied with it.

Anyway, on to what you care about:

Stats:
Cushion cut 2.06 ct sapphire, natural, untreated (I have LOTS more information on this from the GIA if I could only find where my fiance put it!)
Half moon sidestones, 1.57 ct total, G, VS2
0.72 ct total pave, G, VS2
Set in platinum 900
Ring size 4.5

Hi :wavey:
Haven’t been on PS in awhile. Been meaning to share, but you know life. Here’s my 2ct CAC in a toi et moi:
7CF6EDC2-7E7D-48EA-9755-0981157DD09C.jpeg E40BC309-9CBA-4051-AD3E-B9C5B741731E.jpeg DFAB3295-FC68-40AC-B34B-A825FE88052A.jpeg 7CF6EDC2-7E7D-48EA-9755-0981157DD09C.jpeg E40BC309-9CBA-4051-AD3E-B9C5B741731E.jpeg DFAB3295-FC68-40AC-B34B-A825FE88052A.jpeg

Magnificent! It looks so smooth and liquid and comfortable, in addition to being huge and blingy. I love this modern take on toi et moi. How did you get this idea? Did you already have both stones? How did you come up with the design, and is it white gold? Thank you for sharing your beautiful ring.

Thanks for the love Asscherhalo lover, Lightbright, mrs b.

I had the cushion set in a VC Jocelyn originally. Asked Victor to source a pear - he proposed a 1ct GIA G color si1. I sent him a drawing of my desired top down view and he executed the rest, you know VC magic
My only ask aside from the stone orientation/angle was a low to the finger setting for comfort. Metal is 900 PLAT, size 6.25. 72BAB806-7DC2-4B3F-B70F-5D315E046699.jpeg

This is so beautiful! I also loved your AVR but I’m not sure if I like this ring even more!

Saying I love this ring just doesn’t convey accurately enough.
it’s stunning, I’ve looked at pictures of it online many many times with thoughts toward a pair of pears GemConcepts has.
may I ask what your ring size is?
It’s utterly beautiful on you.
enjoy it!

edit - I see your ring size now - oops!
