I have 2 pairs to choose from. The first pair, due to the clarity, is much cheaper than the second pair.
Similar HCA scores.
Both pairs are TOTALLY eye clean, GIA, Triple Excellent.

Which pair to choose?

Pair #1
$6755 total for the pair. I did request a slightly larger table for better spread, since these are earrings.

Polish: EX
Symmetry: EX N

Re: STUDS: Which pair has better ASET, idealscope, dimension

Please help me choose. Both are within budget, but obviously, saving money is always nice. ;))

Pair #1
$6755 total for the pair
Diamond A: HCA = 2.4
Diamond B: HCA = 1.4

Pair#2
$9595 for the pair
Diamond A: HCA = 1.9
Diamond B: HCA = 2.4

Since they are all eye clean, I'm ignoring the ugly marks on pair #1- plus, they're earrings.
To me, pair #2's images do look better? However, there is a huge cost difference.

The second pair, absolutely. Better light return images and clarity. If I wanted to spend less than the second pair costs, I'd go to the .80 range and get well cut stones in SI1-VS2 clarity. I don't like the first pair.

Thanks Gypsy and DiamondSeeker!

I had the same inclination, but wanted to double check since there was potential to save some money.
I'm going with the 2nd pair! These are going to be for a gift! Hope she likes them! No, loves them! :appl:

She has been wanting 2cttw studs. I feel bad going with .90ct each/1.8cttw, but I figure it's close enough, and it's a nice gift anyway! :naughty:
I tend to go overboard with my gifting. I even bought another jewelry "box" to put them in. Marble peitra dura albacore shell box/trinket box
Why? I don't know. :twirl: Because, I can go overboard. lol

Seriously, these ideal cut studs will appear as large as typical jewelry store 1 ct studs that may be cut deep and have lesser light return! If she still wants larger, then jackets can fix that!

Will receive my jackets next Wednesday and show you photos. I have the same size studs - 1.83 tcw. And they look just as good as 2 ctw studs. Jackets will give them much more bling when she's in the mood for a bit more! Please show us photos after they're set. Wonderful gift!!!
