i feel silly but why is only 75% of the value insured, or rather why would you be out any money if it's insured? is Canada insurance different?
anyway, so sorry to hear the update, but at least you know something (even though it's not good) rather than absolutely nothing and going on day after day wondering...hopefully the detective will keep you apprised of what is going on.
good luck and keep us posted.

OH, and this should be a HUGE reminder to folks as another reason why insurance is a MUST. You just never know what can happen
Great idea!! Alley, please call your insurance company and at least file a claim. Good luck and (((HUGS))) to you.Date: 3/29/2006 2:58:27 AM

OMG!!! I can''t believe this happened! What a nightmare! My heart goes out to you! I would not be able to concentrate on anything!!! You poor thing! Please don''t blame yourself for the insurance thing though--it wasn''t your fault that the guy stole your ring. You might be able to recover some of the cost if you have a receipt for the setting through your home owners insurance--just a thought!
I pray they find this guy--and your ring!
