the sun is bright today so thought i would take it out for some air, props to everyone who catches the sparkle on their camera cause i can see it blingin like crazy but i cant capture it on cam

If I understand correctly, you would have had to sacrifice that gorgeous Kretchmer setting for the budget to accommodate at 1.30ct stone, right? If it were me, I absolutely would not be disappointed or upset with that decison. The "wow" factor is definitely still there with the 1.00ct. It''s really beautiful - she''ll get TONS of compliments!! Now, stop second-guessing yourself!
 
ktrkate08 - it came down to either a gold kretchmer with 1.30 carat or get the smaller stone in platinum
the first thing she said is she likes platinum so i decided on that, thanks for making me feel better though!

Oh I really love that ring!! I love how the tension setting really shows off that beautiful stone. I, too, love the thickness of the band. Can''t wait to see hand shots.

I actually don''t love tension settings much either, but i came back to this one twice because it''s so beautiful! I think it''s gorgeous and perfect with the width of the band. Best of luck with your weekend trip - lucky girl!

keepingthefaith & violet - i must say when i first seen some tensions i was turned off by them also so we continued looking at traditional settings, until we came across a steven kretchmer tension and the quality of them was uncomparable (imo) to others. thanks for the good luck wish also, im gonna need it!
