Do you prefer the size or the peacock color? I still prefer the 2.50 from Madagascar.

Oh yeah this is waaaaaaay over budget anyways!!! Just for fun. For right now - totally agree that the 2.5 from Madagascar is the fun electric blue I am hunting for and I love that color!

When I am looking for a large, deep, sultry blue and happen have an excess of $30k in my pocket - this is what I would buy

How about some 'Blue Velvet'? No, not the cult David Lynch film starring Dennis Hopper, but this mesmerising 'Rhapsody In Blue':

I know nothing about the website, but I'm hoping it's the real deal as that stone looks stunning.

For the aqua-loving lotto winner, how about this 1318 ct piece? Clearly it would need a halo..

(There’s actually a spess suite in another lot thats tasty, but might not require the mega-millions ticket to afford)

Not quite powerball prices yet, but how about this 2x 5+ no heat sapphire piece?

Current bid is only up to 16k..

Ok, not the best color by trade standards, but the shape and design of the ring is so so so gorgeous! Does not hurt either the sapphire is over 21 carats, and original Art Deco setting to boot (I’ve a terrible weakness for authentic Art Deco, my knees buckled at this ring).

Yours for a mere $70k USD.

Looks too big and too long. On the finger shots, it's halfway up to the knuckle.

Not gonna sell anytime soon, imo.

To each their own, but I would manage to wear it anyhow.

I was going to say something originally about not being too big/long for some, but somehow maybe that sort of wording might have an unintended smutty undertone to it

Anyhoo, if I had that much $$$ to frivolously throw at a ring, I probably don’t need to bend my knuckles or use my hands on a daily basis.

On a separate note, I’m not liking the side profile. Is it normal for the culet to poke out a little like this? (I know some folks believe that it’s auspicious to have a stone actually touch the skin, but honestly cannot tell if that’s the purpose here, or if the setting is just a tad short for the hunk of sapphire.)

It is beautiful but the design leaves the sapphire unprotected. So easy to chip those unprotected corners and you are right, the culet should not be poking out and touching the skin.

While not as jaw-dropping as some of the gems posted here, I came across an extremely rare gem. An over 1 carat colorless, round cut benitoite. Yes the asking price is about as much as a D IF diamond with strong fluorescence. But you're not gonna find one like this easily if at all. If I had the means, I would make an offer (since in my opinion its overpriced)

weight - 1.135
price - 12.5k
size - 6.25mm x 4.05mm
