I can’t help but think that the ring above might have been the love of the recipient’s life (see inscription in band) but maybe not the person?

I think the setting is so hideous. I want these diamonds to be rescued. I wish so badly I could buy this because I would love to have an old cut fancy yellow and the price is stellar for the stones alone. IMHO. I think it would be a gorgeous cluster without that weird metal all around it. It’s $3650 at a pre listing price!
