I did more reading and have seen some people ask gemologists to take a look at the stone. I know someone here also mentioned they did something similar. Anyone else do the same and recommend it, or am I going overboard?

It is not going overboard if it will give you piece of mind and comfort knowing you followed thru on all the investigation tools available to you, in order to select this stone. I'd do it - can't hurt to ask.

(I did not go thru this whole thread, but is it a PS online vendor? Do they have it in house? that's easy for their gemologist to view it and give you their opinion. Again - you may have said that further above, but I did not read each post - sorry )

I think the SA at WF are geologists, or at least, the people that go over the "eye clean" aspects of it... but i could be wrong

So if there are no last minute objections, I think I'm going to take the dive lol. I think for thr most part the stone checks out and I should just stop worrying. Worse case Ican upgrade it down the road. And from what ive read you cant really go wrong with a cut aboves. Thanks everyone here, especially niel for dealing with my indeciveness lol. Unfortunately its only the beginning, but its a pretty big step

That's great! I think you'll feel a lot better once you order it! It can be overwhelming dealing with all the choices and spending so much money on an important purchase, but once you have it I think you'll be really happy and confident about your choice! It'll be stunning.
