So many pretty stones! Wondering if any of you had any communication issues with SS? I purchased a stone on the 1st and haven't heard from them at all. Tried calling and emailing. Nothing so far. Is that typical for them?

I called John at 08:34 in the morning on 1/2 and he picked up right away. Very friendly and he did say all the sales were going to make him quite busy. Hope you get a hold of him soon.

It's here and it's HUGE. Unheated pink. I like the purple modifier, goes well with my cool skin tone. I'm glad that there's no orange.

@VividRed very much so. It was 7 hundred something for 2.5 ct, unheated, certified, and ceylon. Superb clarity, very saturated, and the window is not noticeable IRL. Great value imo.

I didn't get a confirmation but the stone arrived yesterday and I'm really happy with it. The first photo is John's (not sure why it's so small) and the rest are mine. The star is not perfect and it's not quite as intensely blue as the last two photos show but very pretty nonetheless.

Oooh I was wondering if a PSer got that and whether I’d see it again around here. This was the only stone I was considering maybe getting, for a bit, but the imperfect star made me decide against it, I just knew I’d keep looking for a different one afterwards. But the colour and transparency are lovely.

I had that one on my list for actual years! I'm really glad you got it. My dream was to have it set into a princess Diana style pendant, with a diamond halo and a double strand of pearls attached to either side.

The colour is gorgeous and I love the beautiful water of it. There’s always a trade-off between colour and transparency and the star. Silk makes the star, so if we have lots of silk, you get these amazing stars, but then the stone doesn’t look as nice. Most of the time when you’re just walking around, you don’t even see the star anyway you just see this little gumdrop. So I think yours is beautiful.

Thank you all! @Indylady , love your pendant ideas! Not sure yet how I'm going to set it. Was thinking about possibly replacing what looks like a lab sapphire in a ring I inherited from my aunt. But the new stone is a good bit bigger, so don't think it would work.

@Dreamer_D - thanks so much! Great point on the star not being visible most of the time anyway. I know I've seen some amazing watery stones with perfect stars here on PS, which mine is not. Maybe one day...

My sapphires arrived yesterday, and I'm seriously impressed!! I bought the pink on a whim, because I'm not too much of a pink person, but I keep taking it out to look at it. Now I wish I'd purchased a few more things! Seriously, where's my money tree??
