Trying on Pure Alhambra today. I love this line, even though it is not as popular as their vintage alhambra

Adding my latest addition...the guilloche vintage alhambra earrings! Loved them at first sight!

I was between a few choices but ultimately I chose these because I could wear them with my other 2 pieces (and I’m personally not a fan of the hammered gold option). I did love the mop but I didn’t want yet another stone and nothing to match with and I also tried the frivole in xs but they were just a bit too small.

I asked because I was interested in purchasing the bracelet. Does anyone have any information on this bracelet?

Haha thank you!!! He got it for Xmas and it is actually very real for being a toy so he looooves it and tries to climb everything to “drill” holes in the walls! If this is any indication, we’re in trouble....I could see him dismantling everythingggg lol

I was just about to answer you when I saw you found out already! It’s the old lucky collection that they discontinued I think in 2010-2012 but could be off on the year. Hard to find piece with some very coveted VCA stones and in wg!!! Are you going to buy it?

The bracelets I saw online were already sold
I wasn't sure if this was something new or even authentic VCA.
If only I was interested in VCA ten or so years ago.........
The bracelet is so pretty.

They need more white gold pieces!!!

I'm new to the world of VCA. I've always loved the iconic design of the Alhambra, the Cosmos and many of their collections, but I've never been in a store or tried any on.

Well, that's about to change! After looking at this entire thread in one sitting (my brain is on fire, but I think both legs fell asleep!) I have called up my local VCA and scheduled an appointment!

I'm so excited! Monday I'm going in! (They assured me they are being super strict with safety measures only letting in two scheduled, masked, customers at a time, temp checks, etc. And this store is a stand alone, not the mall version as I refuse to go inside a mall.)

Oh gosh, I feel a new addiction coming on!

My SA said that right now there is a shortage of many of the Vintage Alhambra pieces I've requested to see. They will bring in as many as they can get ahold of, but apparently VCA in general almost sold out many of their pieces and US stock hasn't been replenished yet since the Christmas holidays.

VCA will fit right in with your fabulous diamond jewelry collection! I think your boutique may be where I bought my first VCA piece in 2016! Very excited to hear about your visit, but just don't be too discouraged with the low stock at this time.

So we're getting a major snow/ice storm here in Houston (of all places!) on Monday. It is supposed to be the worst we've seen since the 1950's. I've rescheduled my VCA appoint to tomorrow. I'm so giddy I can hardly wait!

To show you how low the stock is right now, my SA said that people who purchased the Guilloché enamel necklaces in December won't receive them until next month (March)! So no way I get to try any of those beauties on.

Just adding my Christmas surprise! I kept telling my husband that I didn’t need any more jewelry until VCA released the long Magic Alhambra necklace in GMOP ... and then they did! I love the striped-ness of the colours on this motif!

This is too funny. I live in Midwest but my SA that I use is located in the Houston store. He is amazing. I will have to find out which location.

I went to the free standing boutique in River Oaks! I went for a Whiteflash visit, but a couple of local PSers took us jewelry shopping on our free day! It was the most fun! VCA was my favorite, of course! I'd love to visit again sometime! It's so sad that Covid has resulted in reduced production and short supply of inventory for the boutiques. I know that's a first world problem, but I feel sorry for the SAs who have so little to sell and likely have reduced hours at work!

My first visit to Van Cleef & Arpels...

It was a cold, rainy day in Houston, but the showroom was warm and inviting. My husband & I were greeted with Champagne, chocolates, and pleasant conversation.

Our sales associate brought out the necklaces one by one, fasting them around my neck.

The first was the Long Vintage Alhambra in mother of pearl with yellow gold. I loved the way it looked doubled. Classic and versatile. The perfect size.

Second was the 10 motif Vintage Alhambra in blue agate. Oh my! The color was divine against my skin tone! The photo does not do justice. In real life, it glowed!

Moving on, we tried each of the Vintage Alhambra pendant necklaces. My favorite were the carnelian and the onyx. Both looked good with my coloring. However, they are fairly dainty in size and I prefer a slightly more bold statement...

While I don't usually like a layered look (on me) my SA showed me how amazing doubling the pendants can be. This is more the bold statement I'm going for...
