Show Me Your Diamond Studs!

Hi!

I just got my pair of black diamond studs that are truly amazing (picture coming later), and they are 3.5 mm wide each, but somehow the "length" of the stones is not matching? Is this normal or has there been a mistake when they made the studs, you think?

Thanks!

Emerald and diamond studs. Total diamond weight .40 cttw and .32 cttw emeralds.
y2kitty - I love your emerald and diamond studs. Where did you purchase them? Were they custom made?

Wowee!!!!!

It''s great to see some recent postings on here! All of them are beautiful, of course!

Skippy, that is a GREAT size comparison! Thanks for posting those! Are you really happy with the .75''s? That''s what I have. Sometimes I think they are almost too big because they are so brilliant, but I also think they are almost the perfect size. I just wondered what you thought after upgrading.

MC, they came from a Forrest Jewelers in Princeton and were not custom. I saw the same earrings with rubies a few years ago at a jewelry store in NC.

Yay! I love this thread. It totally helped me when I was buying my studs!
Here are my halo studs - 1.56 tcw studs with 1.8 tcw surrounding (8 pointer melee)

Thanks, you know Diamondseeker I looked at this thread and your thread where you where you were debating over the .70 ct and .75 ct. I had a chance to get some .71 carat which were a bit less expensive but then I ran to a jewelry store and I COULD see the difference btw the .71 and .75

Thank you for asking; when I have them on they feel not so big but when hubby takes pictures of me standing by people, etc; they look BIG

Thanks, Skippy! As you know I agonized big time over the size of my studs. It really did help me to see different sizes ON the ear! Glad you found the perfect size for you!

Thanks, Skippy! Your studs sparked many a pair to materialize!

So yummy!
How do you do your eye makeup so natural and yet slightly smoky? Your skin is so glowy, sista!

Skippy, I hope you don''t mind me saying but you are an extremely beautiful woman and your earrings look lovely.

Here are two of my diamond studs. I have the worlds biggest/awful earlobes in the world and if there was plastic surgery to make them smaller I''d be on the operating table before you could say "ouch"!!!

Anyway, I digress! The flower shaped studs are .50ct each, set in 18k yellow gold, G and SI quality. The diamond studs above are .25ct each, set in 18k yellow gold and are F and VS1. They''re very white and sparkly!

Here are mine... They are 1/4 ct each (1/2 ctw),G/H, VS1 or VS2.... No idea on the cut quality, but they sparkle like mad!

Okay, this thread has had me glued to my seat. Detachables? Who knew? Now I am totally rethinking leverbacks. Pearl drops, emerald drops...San Diego Charger's gold lightening bolts...the possibilities are endless. GAH!!

My FI totally surprised me this week by saying that I can upgrade by 0.50tcw studs for a 1ct pair as my Christmas present. I''ve never mentioned upgrading to him so I''ve no idea where he got the idea from (he doesn''t know I look at PS) but hey I''m not complaining!!
