Lucky, no, I don''t have a separate thread, but here are a few more pics. Just last week I had the center stone lowered to sit more proportionally. (The stone was bought separately; I didn''t know anything about halos back then!)

I don''t have a pic to add from my computer of my ring but it is a Color D princess cute 1.04 in the center and .50 on each side.

Recently my soon to be Aunt in Law *if there is such a thing* she said let me see your ring, so I show her, she flaunts hers which was the same pricess stone 1.K and she immediately pulled hers away claiming it to be "dirty" ... she said I havn''t cleaned it in so long... LOL, and I was thinking no silly it''s because yours is a I or a J stone!

Anything D E F really outshines the others!!

I dunno about that, I''ve seen some rather spectacular I J and K stones! There is something fun about having a D, but I would necessarily say it outshines the competition, it''s just an element of the whole. Obviously if you''ve got a D next to a J, you''d probably be able to tell, but I don''t think the lower colors are any less beautiful.

Every diamond has its own personality.

I don''t think Patchee meant it in any way that any color beyond D E F doesn''t "shine". The closer to D the "icier white" the diamond and I have seen some amazing diamonds that were I J K that to me didn''t show any warmth but when placed next to my D I could see a tiny bit of warmth. IMHO everything is base on personal likes and dislikes when it comes to their diamonds. I told my FI that I would love an H and VS2 and 1 carat. He got me 2 out of the 3 and got me a D instead because it turned out to be within the budget. Some prefer carat over color and others prefer cut over clarity. To each his own, that''s the beauty of it!

I totally agree...its about preference. Which is not what I got from her post, but maybe I misread

wow, ladies - great rings!

D colored stones sure have a certain appeal all of their own! E is the highest color i own, but i own something in every color, all the way to a gorgeous golden k, which, in my opinion, is the richest, most lush stone i own. it reminds me of a beautiful, sunny autumn day.

the D's remind me of a cold, crisp, snow-covered winter day; they're like little icicles! how beautiful!

i tend to set my very white stones in platinum or white gold, whereas my more golden toned stones go into yellow gold settings. which is my favorite? well, gee...i've spent my whole adult life trying to answer that question - so decided it was best to buy lots of BOTH!

lovely, ladies - really lovely.

(luckyeshe - i have to say, your ring takes my breath away!)

I think that was a one time only light at the right angle unset fireball shot, LOL. I haven''t seen it do that since, but I haven''t tried either. Hmmmm....

. Just when I thought I didn't much care for halo's, yr ring totally knocks me off my socks. I think Diamond Fan described it perfectly, it's substantial and yet dainty and delicate at the same time. It's just GORGEOUS!

Thanks Luckyeshe. Yep is a square cushion. I loves cushions and yours is gorgeous too. Must admit though after seeing the new chunky cushions from Good Old Gold I am very tempted to have one of those and I lurve the square h & a too. For now though mine will do, ha ha

Mine also has strong blue fluorescence and is beautiful when it turns lavendar in bright sunlight. I would have a hard time giving that up if I did change!

Loving looking at all the other D''s. Good choices ladies!
