How do you know you're a PSer? You have calipers on the coffee table
The studs are 9.7mm

The necklace is from Pearlescence UK several years back. The tin cup is 9.6 to 7.8.

Such lovely pieces, everyone! My only pearls under the tree this year are faux. I did a custom project with some Swarovski pearls as real Golden South Seas aren't in the cards this year.

Maybe we need a designated faux pearl thread in the fabulous fashion jewlery dept!
Many famouse stylish and very rich ladies have worn fake pearls

I learnt from browsing briefly on that pearl board out younder that Majorica have quite a following

For me if Jackie Kennedy , Princesss Diana and Mrs Bush can do it, not forgetting the very beautiful Queen Alexandra who was quite the fashionista of her day and Elizebth Taylor can do the mix and match thing so can we !
(As for a lady who is still very much still with us I do beleave the Dutchess of Cambridge has some very nice fake pearl earings)

If these very rich ladies, with the access and money to a Queen's diamonds have the confidence to have fun with fakes, what is that saying to the rest of us ???

I totally agree. In the past decade, my jewelry purchases have crept upward to a level that doesn't fit all that comfortably with my budget, or at least not when I consider what else I could have done with that much money. So I'm downsizing a bit, more sterling and CZ and "fun" jewelry with nothing real about it.

Sooooo shipping from japan is 90$ so I decided to add on this 10-10.5mm baroque akoya strand... I’ve heard that larger akoya are getting harder to come by and I love the winter silver of these with a hint of blue and pink and the baroque shapes.
