What a wonderful collection - I would love to see a pic of the moonstone necklace on! That piece looks amazing!
My gorgeous Southern Cross constellation necklace. 18kt - and heavy - with somewhere around .8 - .9ctw of very nice diamonds on a 30" 18kt chain. Being Australian, this locket reminds me of home. The diamond on the back is to represent the constellation's pointer star. I recently had the prongs reconfigured as I wasn't happy with the original iteration, but there's photos here of both.
And with new prongs:
And lastly, a perspective shot. I should probably put this in the perspective thread, but figured it might be useful here so people could see how it hangs. This is my standard, day-to-day jewelry.
@mrs-b Would you mind telling me how many grams the locket alone is? I’m thinking of a locket and wondering if it’s solid enough…
45.5gms - without the chain or diamonds. It's HEAVY. I was originally going to use a premade antique locket - but it wasn't nearly sturdy enough. Without being too specific - even without the diamonds, this cost thousands and thousands to make. If I hadn't wanted this all my life, I wouldn't have done it; I could have had something lovely - or even something similar - for a fraction of the price. Mind you, people here pay way more for all sorts of things - and if diamond necklaces are your thing, this could be a bargain by comparison, depending on what you're considering.
Gosh, I have no idea why that picture posted twice! Sorry about that!
Super beautiful and I love the gold connector it’s on!
Oooo I love the combo! Very celestial! Is the tarot card solid gold? I'd love to purchase one! I've always been drawn to The Empress or The Moon.. makes sense...she's tied to gemstones and the moon is very pearlescent
Sorry I missed your reply all this time @LemonMoonLex ! Yes, the tarot is solid gold, and there’s a diamond in the star at the top. I purchased it from Katmojo Jewelry a couple summers ago. She has moon cards but I don’t see an empress.
