@twosanguinehearts I remembered a rep coming to the big box store I worked at in the 90's and demo-ing it as a great jewelry cleaner. It does strip oils very effectively. I'm not a fan of the green kind, but the new lemon smells better. Both clean diamonds well.

Specs are 2.01 H SI1. I am so happy with it!!! The setting, perfectly made by David Klass, is sterling over 18k yg. Band by DK too.

I think this set will get a ton of wear.

I love the color! It faces up really white to me; maybe I'm not that color sensitive, not sure. I used to think I needed D or E, but I've realized that the lower colors are fine for me. I just can't tell enough difference to justify the higher price tag, and honestly, I've grown to like a little warmth. The very icy look of D's and E's almost look like CZ to me. In the last year, I've bought 6 lab growns in colors E, G, H, I, and two J's, and the I is the only one that "looks" different in my eyes.

Interesting testimony from someone who has purchased all those different colored LGD's.

CUT is King...not color or clarity. Hard for most ppl to learn that principle when it comes to diamonds; nor would I try to convert anyone to that knowledge. I'm with you and that honker cushion looks great on your hand!

Thank you! I'm happy to finally discover that I don't need to chase down the D's and E's. My first one (the oval in my profile) is the E, and I didn't think I could go any lower cause that's what my earth grown diamond was too. I hate that I way overspent on that one to get the minimum specs I *thought* I needed, and it's nowhere near my favorite ring anymore.

I've been wanting a large carat sapphire brooch for ages but never really had sufficient budget for an earth-mined version. So my husband did his research and ordered a labgrown version for me, 23ct labgrown sapphire with 10ct labgrown diamonds on the side (D-E, VVS), set in 18k gold.
