Should I buy on Black Friday/ C Monday? E - ring advice

Hello Everyone!

For the past... ...let's just say an embarrassingly long amount of time... I have been thinking about taking the plunge and buying an E - ring.

I still am not sure exactly what to get (I was all but set on the eye candy at Costco until I very recently stumbled upon Price Scope). Now I am not sure if I should order from a e- tailer site, however, either way I am wondering if I should make a decision by Black Friday in hopes of catching any sales, if they have them.

I would also love any ring advice.

If it helps, I am thinking about getting a round, 0.7 to 1ish, solitaire or with side stones. I went to Cartier and thought she would love the 1895 round with the round side stones (although it is a bit more than my means allow right now). I also think she would like just a round solitaire as well. I would like to stay around 5k or less. Name brands are unimportant and I would prefer to get quality versus quantity, although I would only care about things visible to the naked eye (unless it impacted sparkle), not just things that sound good on paper.

Thank you for any help you can give! ...I certainly do apreciate it and need it!

its pretty versatile, she could pair it with a lot of styles. and WF sells a matching band

I'm not sure which vendors will have Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales this year. The only one that I've gotten an email from was for Good Old Gold. They have a list of diamonds that will be on sale starting Friday morning until Tuesday morning. Unfortunately, the email did not link to the exact diamonds, so you'll have to search their inventory for the match.

The diamonds on this search are the ones on sale: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamondResults.php?certNum=-&inHouse=3&resultsColumns=402669647

I'm not sure if there are any that fit your search but I hope that helps.
Maybe subscribe to the other big name vendors we love here and see if you get any emails tomorrow/thursday?
I think BGD and WF also do sales occasionally, but I have fuzzy memory.

I have that exact one with a 0.65ct round. It really is a gorgeous setting, and the taper really makes the stone pop and appear larger than it actually is. The only issues I could see about finding a matching band is that it would have to be quite a low profile band, and there would be a ring 'gap' because of the taper. I made a SMTB thread about it a while ago if you want real life photos. If you want any more pics, just let me know

Diamonds can go on sale???
All the online e-tailers told me that margins are too slim to negotiate any deals - even for $100

I think the online store sales are mostly on settings (someone correct me if I'm wrong), if you buy a diamond from them as well. WF has had a few of these sales in the past

Thank you all for your help so far. You have all given me great recomendations and places to start looking. Now I need to start looking for the rock as well (I assume it is best to get the rock and setting from the same place?).

The ones on display at Costco looked incredible, and from what I gather I should be able to get a better rock for the same price from an e-tailer, right?

Does anyone have any recommendations? I only care about quality to the point that we can see with our naked eyes. Neither of us will care about what is just on paper...

Thanks
