Hey, everyone. I was able to speak to my SO's FIL on Saturday about the engagement and he was thrilled (I was really worried about how he would react). Once he and her mom gave me their blessing, I couldn't wait any longer, so I proposed on Sunday when we got back from Georgia. I wrote a four page (five including cover) alternate rhyme scheme poem by hand on white paper, scanned it, and then used Photoshop/Lightroom to add various pictures of us, random but tasteful love quotes/designs, and some memorable things from Harry Potter (her favorite series). I also had to alter the contrast and whatnot a bit to make the text visible. The poem briefly described the path of our relationship and incorporated a few lines from Harry Potter, of course. Each page of the poem was set inside of a small nesting box and in the final box was a replica golden snitch. Inside of the snitch was the phrase, "Will you marry me?". I managed to capture the proposal on video (albeit poorly) using my iPhone. It has a few quirks (the video cut out half way through because it ran out of space), but overall I am pretty happy with it. It was too close to actually see my whole body proposing, but I was able to capture her reaction which is all that matters to me. Here are a couple of hand shots, a link to the proposal video, and a small collage that she made. The ring turned out beautifully and it looks amazing on her hand. She was absolutely stunned and everyone at her work has been ogling it. 
I couldn't have done it without the support and help of PS, so thank you so much! It feels great to finally call her my fiance.
P.S. I blew up the pages of the poem to letter size, printed them off, and placed them in a scrapbook that I bought. I gave it to her with the ring to use as an engagement book.
