Update on the crescent brooch... I received it back from DK earlier this week and they did a fabulous job on the conversion.

They are so fantastic and do such excellent work! I love working with them. And hang in there - it took me a few months to find this one. I ended up running an automatic search on ebay and this one popped up one day. I couldn’t hit “Buy it Now” fast enough!

That conversion turned out well! Glad to see there are other fans of crescent pendants as well.

I also purchased an antique crescent brooch recently, and I'm still waiting for the work to be completed. This is Victorian, and it will become a necklace, flower ring, and two pairs of stud earrings.

There's roughly .65 ctw of diamonds in a hodgepodge of cuts: Swiss, single, rose, & OEC. The sapphires total about 2.22 ctw and appear to be mined. The stones are set in silver on top of rose gold, and the pendant will hang from a rose gold chain.

Thanks @stracci2000! Part of me felt a twinge of guilt for doing it, almost like I’m dismantling a piece of history. However, now I will definitely make it a staple piece - and it will see lots of wear.

Ok, this has to be the mother lode of a find!!! First off, it’s GORGEOUS! And to hear you’re building essentially a full suite (plus) of pieces is amazing. I hope you’ll share it all with us when they’re finished.

@stracci2000, first off $3 is amazing amazing and I absolutely adore the bow pin, the rose gold, amethyst love it! I know you can find great things at estate sales but with two little kids, not really possible now, maybe in ten years lol!

I found a gorgeous little antique fox stick pin in 14K yellow gold with teeny tiny diamond eyes on eBay. I had to have him, even though I had no idea what to do with him. Since I only wear mismatched earrings, I decided to turn him into a stud since he’s such a studly little beast, anyway!
