Hi everyone, I was looking at a diamond, 1 carat, clarity of VS2. The GIA report was as follows:

Should I be concerned about the cavity/indentures at the girdle?

Thanks!

At VS2 we dont usually consider them an issue but this stone has 3 cavities/indented naturals...cant you find
any 1 carats out there without cavities? Its not like a fancy cut that might be hard to find.

Edit...just wonder how thick the girdle is?

What is the girdle rated at?
I'm not a fan of cavities because it creates weak spots in the stone if they are at the girdle and dirt traps if they are elsewhere.

Girdle is rated at medium - slightly thick, 3.5%.

What are the numbers from the report?

Fellow prosumers have actually recommended other options for me, but I was just browsing other diamonds and found it interesting. Your opinion is greatly appreciated!

Numbers are in the meh but looks ok range.

What is wrong with the recommended stones? This one has table greater than depth, so that would make it a no *for me*

I don't like there are 3 cavities on the stone. You can probably cover them with a semi bezel or full bezel but that doesn't mean they are 100% safe from a bump. I don't like the table is larger than the depth.

Not for me. :knockout:. many other options on MRB cuts.

thanks everyone for your opinions!

The numbers on this make it a *no* for me.
