dreamer- One could have guessed that you are a trained psychologogist just by watching you post. Almost no one takes any interest in what anyone else is really saying (not the details, at least). You really listen to other people''s stories. It''s almost fightening

We've been together just shy of three years, and will be married in 3 months! He's officially my longest relationship. It's silly, but I always get jealous of people who met their SOs earlier because I feel like I missed out on a lot of his life. But in our case, it probably wouldn't have worked because we met when I was 25 and he was 35, and if I had met him any earlier, the age difference would have seemed like a bigger deal I suppose.

ETA: When my parents had their 27th wedding anniversary my dad gave my mom her first diamond ring (her response was, ''Is that real?!'' hahahaha). They went to church later that morning and somehow my mom''s friend found out it was their anniversary, and came up to them after the service, and told my dad that my mom deserved a medal of honor for putting up with him for so long. My mom stuck out her hand and wiggled her fingers saying, ''I got one!''

You are a tease with the scanty details AGBF... how did you even meet him in the first place to plan the meeting-up?
Your story reminds me of modern day internet dating, where you meet online and then meet up in person some time later. That is how my husabnd and I met, actually, on an online dating site. But of course
those did not exist in 1977.
