This needs an adapter but says it will work. Another option. Oh, I guess they are called buggy boards not sure it will work on your current stroller. Hope that helps.
OMG Vesper that is hilarious! Getting bossed around by our little ones.Date: 11/18/2009 3:07:11 PM

I just wanted to share this charming anecdote from my 36 month old son.
Last night, it was time to for him to get out of the tub, so I told him, ''OK honey, bathtime''s over.'' At which point he gave me a snotty look, and said, ''Leave me alone and go do the dishes.''![]()
It looks like 3 is going to be a harder age than 2 ...
Puffy, thanks for the advice on the stroller - I have 2 friends with BOBs who love them - maybe I''ll look into them. We have a McLearen Techno right now that we love, but I think I''m really going to need a sit n stand when the second little guy arrives ...
Thanks so much, Tacori, those all look like great options!Date: 11/18/2009 3:40:04 PM

Well, I am behind again and will try to catch up with everyone.
Tacori, Puffy, MrsS, Janine, Lili, Bobo, Burk, MSB, QT, and Snlee, thanks for the compliments on my little ballerina and her shoes. The silver ballet slippers are Pedipeds that I found at Nordstrom a couple months before I bought her costume. As soon as I saw the ballet costume, I had to get it because I already had the matching shoes.
Puffy, I love the wobbly stage too. She is getting better at walking, but there are still some wobbles, especially when she gets tired. That is so cute that B tells people about his baby brother. B was such a cute Mickey!
QT, I love your anniversary gift. I’m so sorry to hear about your kidney stones.
Diva, is your DH responsible for the Man Cave, or are you designing it? Glad to hear James is enjoying his new yard. We’re trying to find a new house so A can have a yard to play in (and better schools than where we live now).
Janine, so you have a bossy one year old too, huh? I hear you on the back pain from walking hunched over. It is so sweet to hold their little hands while they walk, but it does become painful quickly. A is getting pretty good at walking on her own. Sometimes she wants to walk by herself and pushes my hand away if I offer it to steady her when she wobbles, and other times she gets fussy with me if I don’t hold her hand and taxi her where she wants to go. Some nights, I am sitting on the coach, and she comes up and takes my hand and pulls at me until I get up and walk her around the house. The back and head arch is no fun. The first few times A surprised me with that trick, I was afraid I would drop her. I second TGal’s suggestion for Stride Rite shoes. They are supposed to provide good support to help little ones learn how to walk. A seemed steadier on her feet when we put her in her first pair of SR’s.
Jas12, sorry to hear about your first battle royale with Co. Have there been reoccurrences? A is starting to have what I call “lay down strikes.” There have been a few times where I tried to get her to do something she didn’t want to do, and she just lay face down on the floor and cried. Happy to hear about your great midi appt. We are having the same issues with “over improving” our home for our neighborhood. We used good quality materials and did things to our taste so we would enjoy living there, but now that we are thinking about moving, I realize we will probably not get our money back on the upgrades because it is not that kind of neighborhood. Sadly, we are looking at homes in the “better” neighborhoods, at houses that cost more than double what our current house will sell for, and the kitchen cabinets, fixtures, etc. are crap compared to what we used. It sucks to have to spend more to buy a house that feels like a “downgrade” from our current house, just to get into a better school district.
TGal, sounds like you are having the same temper issue. I had not heard the expression “chucking a nice fruity” before.
MrsS, I have to get around to setting up a FB account so I can hear your DD sing. So cute that Jake puckers his lips and sucks in his cheeks to give kisses. I love those baby kisses.
Lili, yes A’s hair is getting darker. We knew it would happen because I have medium brown hair and DH has dark brown hair, but I will miss those blond curls. I hope J’s cold got better quickly. It is so cute that she talks and sings to herself when she plays.
Tacori, congrats on getting through the GRE!
Burk, sorry to hear about T’s asthma acting up. I hope you and she can get some rest soon. That foreclosure house sounds like a tempting investment.
MSB, sorry you had a rough time in Germany. That was the first place I ever went to in Europe (10 years ago). I was lucky that my DH speaks a little German and had been there before. I enjoyed the museums, churches and castles, but boy did I get tired of eating heavy German food. I bet K will be loving school in no time.
Curly, I’m sorry to hear about Lucy’s accident. It sounds like she was a real trooper. You were smart to take her to the plastic surgeon.
Snlee, yay for D. I can’t believe he got his shots without crying. A goes for her flu shots on Monday, and I am not looking forward to it because she is always so mad after she gets shots. Belated happy birthday!
Bobo, glad to hear your DH’s eye surgery went well. How is he healing?
LOL. After losing a few responses I typed, I started typing my longer responses in a Word document, and then copying and pasting them on PS. Now, I just type responses in Word as I skim through the posts. I''m a little OCD, so I feel like I have to be thorough when I post. I might post more often if I was more casual and quick about it.Date: 11/19/2009 5:23:55 PM

Kay--
I''m always amazed at how thorough your responses are.![]()
I don''t know how you can keep track what''s going on w/ all the posts.
I read almost daily and still on many occasions skip posts.
No blond, but Alexis still got those beautiful curls.
Are her baby blues still blue?
LOL, I am starting to have days like that too.Date: 11/19/2009 5:28:08 PM

I am so far behind too. Seriously, you HAVE to keep up everyday in this thread.
Lili, good but now I have my essay looming. I thought I was pretty set but my BIL and brother who are both writers have convinced me to start over.![]()
Vesper, go do the dishes?!? That is hysterical. Where did he learn that?
Kay, I have a love hate relationships with my ILs. If I can let go and just realize they are different than my family and that is ok I would be a lot happier.
Janine, T is crazy. I took her to McD''s for lunch and to play yesterday b/c it was raining and she threw the biggest fit and this other mom was like ''ohhh she is so cute.'' I was like ''really?'' Haha. She is a stinker. She has also perfected the arch back, cannot get her in the carseat, doing headstands move.Greeeaatttt.![]()
Bobo, one of these days I will have to try the spa thing.
MrsS, how did the cheesecake turn out?
Puffy, I am OVER them. Someone (actually many people) have told me the 3s are worse than the 2s! Not sure I can take it. Maybe it is good my kids will be so far apart.
Burk, I hope she only wants to be like the sweet Tessa NOT the devil one. Today we were leaving a playdate and she wouldn''t give a toy back. She was TOTALLY trying to steal it. What a mess. I had to PRY it out of her hands.
Gross question...T has a scab on her nose that will not heal b/c she keeps picking it. Any ideas how to prevent/avoid/stop this. She even has starting saying ''no pick'' when she does it b/c we say it to her so often.
I''m glad he is doing well.Date: 11/19/2009 6:59:22 PM

Thanks Puffy.
Thanks Kay, DH''s eye is healing well. The redness should go away in another week. A is a tall girl!

selfish post to say C is officially walking. She just left the kitchen and went to the dining room (oops..better go check on her). I can see how easily it is for them to trip over when they are wobbly walkers .. eek have to baby proof!

I bet you are right that T is clingy because her daddy is gone. It is probably throwing her routine off, and so she is being extra needy with you.Date: 11/20/2009 1:12:04 PM

Kay~Thanks...she''s actually breathing better, just still in an early wake pattern which is NO fun for this mommy!! I''m 5''10'' as well and T has always been super tall and skinny, stats very similar to your A''s. I hope for her sake she only makes it to 5''10'' or so because tall is hard at times, although I''m an athlete so it has it''s advantages there!
lili~Oh yea, she has to tell us everything that happens...she can''t quit talking. Ever. This morning she woke up at 5:45 and told me she wanted to go lay on the couch. So I figured maybe I could turn on the Tv and she would relax for at least a half hour...NOPE, wanted to talk my ear off about her grandma, grandpa, on and on and on.....I''m sooooo tired..
Tacori~I think she has some of the sweet Tessa too....but on that particular day it was tantrum Tessa! So funny that your T was trying to steal the toy....mine would totally try something like that. Oh, and we''ve mastered the arch back, not wanting to get in the carseat too...NOT fare. She has also started saying in a great whiny tone, ''I no want to!'' Annoying.![]()
Bobo~Oh yea, Daddy has a great job...I''d kill to trade for even a day!
Glad your DH is doing well.![]()
My DH gets back from his work trip late tonight. T has been super clingy to me in the mornings when I drop her off at daycare (soooo unusual) so I am wondering if it doesn''t have to do with daddy still being gone. He usually isn''t gone this many days in a row.... usually has a day back in between.
I have never heard that expression before, but it is true. I was crazy enough to agree to spend Christmas at my in-laws this year. The one good thing is that there will be plenty of people who want to watch A, so I can just sit and drink if people get on my nerves.Date: 11/20/2009 4:53:37 PM

Tessa was being such a brat today. Seriously if the 3s are worse than the 2s I am in major trouble. We went out to lunch with some friends and she was rotten, whiney, annoying...*sigh* The other kids were absolute angels of course. Oh well. She was sweet when we got home. I had my friend''s little boy over and they were dancing and playing. Maybe I should just never take her out in public![]()
Kay, what a tall girl! Lucky. It sucks being short. My ILs are crazier. Or I am. Or a combo. It is sometimes strained. Like they say expectations are premeditated resentments.
