Burk, hope DH is home for awhile.

Bobo, SOOO CUTE!

MrsS, it went well tonight. I went last thursday and it was difficult to concentrate with everything.

So while we were waiting for class I overheard an interesting conversation. This one woman who is a regular just had a baby 7 weeks ago. She started talking to these two other girls. One is the oldest of 5 and is currently a nanny (I would guess early 20s). OF COURSE they started talking about BFing and the girl was like "you need to BF b/c it is so much better. blah blah" I wanted to shake her. We all know it is better but give this new mom a break (I think she mentioned maybe supplementing with formula when she goes back to work). Furthermore the girl has no kids. Hope she has an easy time with it
20.gif
Everyone is an expert. So there is my rant for the night. Meanwhile 6.5 months of BFing I now have to wear TWO bras (one sport, one regular) while working out.

oh boy....i am way behind. here''s my lame attempt at catching up.

iluv sam is such a silly guy. what a cute song!!

msb how is your little k doing? sorry to hear that he still has his egg allergies. will your cupcake business be egg free cupcakes? that would be great for so many other kids who are allergic to eggs.

lili OMG, that is the most adorable pic i have seen!! i can just imagine the biggest smile on her face as she is running away. i was actually planning on getting a pic of B kissing my belly as it gets bigger. i have always liked pictures like that. is J still cold free?

burk awww, sorry to hear that T was not so cooperative in the am with you. that''s good that there were other kids at the graduation for her to play with. is your DH back? i hope for the next few cycles that your DH is at least around for some BDing.

bobo how is the house shopping going? sorry about the knee! are you and little B and mr. bobo ok?

qt i''m sure she''ll figure out how to let herself down soon. it''s only a matter of time. if you don''t do in there, will she just fuss?

tacori WOW, 930-10?!?! B usually sleeps in also and sometimes i feel like i should go in there to wake him up. i remember one time, he slept until almost 11 and he would not nap and the rest of the day was a living nightmare! so if he is ever sleeping past 930, i wake him up. how was the gym? i hope things are getting better with you.

burk: yikes about the really early wake up!! but glad to hear that overall T was good during the ceremony :) congratulations! and yay for DH coming back! how was the game?

Pave: hope T is feeling better today..

iluv: did i miss something?? are you TTC or are u pregnant already??

bobo: love that pic of B! such a cutie...K can get his vaccinations except the MMR one was horrendous coz it contains a little egg extract and he had a HORRIBLE reaction to that...all other vaccines he''s been fine with luckily! sorry to hear about the fall and ur knee
7.gif

lili: well i wouldn''t say K is severely allergic, but its bad
7.gif
i shudder every time i remember how he looked when i rushed him to the ER
7.gif
LOVE ur new avatar! u know we gotta see a bigger pic of that now!

janinegirly: sorry to hear about C chocking on her food! must have been really scary! K took FOREVER to learn how to chew/eat adult food..i ended up pureeing most his food till he was 1 year plus!

Tacori: yeah cupcakes are popular here and in demand too..ppl love to ''entertain'' here, but most are too lazy to do the actual cooking/baking themselves so more often than not they are catering or just buying food from a restaurant to serve :) hope ur gums are better!...and yeah..ppl always think they know wats best about motherhood and HAVE to give advice..bugs the world out of me!..as for ur situation, hope things are better now >

innerkitten: agree with the rest! love to hear what to expect a year or 2 down the line ;-)

puffy: i make some egg-free and some regular (depends on the order)....and i agree!! lots of moms are happy coz this country is NOT equipped to handle kids with allergies!

you know there is no such thing as technically shouldn''t be here....everyone is welcome...especially you and Chloe.
glad to hear that your little one is eating again...some babies have those on and off moments w/ eating.
even to this day, J will eat alot of solid one day and the next day will have none at all
40.gif

that is scary about the fruit. glad she''s ok.
didn''t you buy that mesh thing for the fruit? did she not like it?

anyway, we got those giddy giddy clips from mom4life.com i believe.
Tgal did a research and found that they have the best deal.
as for the brown onesie, it is one of those set of 5 onesie from Carter.
i believe you can get them from BRU or Target assuming they still carry that design.

Tacori
Glad to hear that your gum is better. Yup, keep those tiny fingers out of there.
Those white heads are NO fun.
Wow, T has all her baby teeth then? So does her smile look different now with all her teeth in?
I''m so jealous of her sleep -- I''d be lucky if J sleeps for 9 hours straight.
Hehe, thanks. I''ll try to get the bigger pix up later.

Ditto TGal. The more the merrier.
Is that your DD in your avi?

Bobo
Hehe, the shadow looks like a sideburn in your avi
9.gif

Why does he need to see an optometrist?
I don''t know much about kawasaki. Is that a one single occurrence disease like the chickenpox or can it recur?
I didn''t feel the earthquake because I''m not home.
My BIL, who lived near me, and my family who lived 30 miles north east felt it.
Said that it was like someone slam down a table.
Did you feel it? You are in OC right?
I must have missed it, but what happened to your knee? I hope they recover soon.

Haha, ok I''ll get on it.
I thought that since it doesn''t show her face, it doesn''t matter if it is small.
Awweee....how sweet it is that T showered her daddy w/ hugs and kisses when she see him.
Have fun w/ the cabinet shopping.

puffy
You must get that picture. It''ll be so cute!
In J news, she got a little cold again. At least she was cold free for a week. Fortunately, it looks like this one is passing quick.
Haha, she does have a big smile. She was actually running toward the water where her daddy was fetching some water for her.

msb
I remember that incident and to top it off, you were blocked in at the time.
So even the slightest trace of egg will set off a reaction for K?

Ok, here are some pictures as promised.
First one is a comparison shot for TGal.
I couldn't find one w/ the brown onesie, but this one is in the same set as the brown one.

Left is her at 3.5 months, right is her almost 10 months later -- still in the same 6mnth onesie and size 3 diaper.
(fyi, she's playing peekaboo w/ my hat)

lili, those pics are precious. I love how you did the black and while but left the color in her swim suit. my hubby and I were just talking that somehow, someway we have to get out kids to the beach this summer. seeing your pics of J there just makes me want to go more.

lili, I just love these photos, especially the running to the beach one. That is just precious. Love the special effect of color against black and white, you ladies are so talented with the camera. To me she doesn't look that skinny at all, very healthy looking with those chubby legs! We are so excited for the beach this summer meanwhile, already checking out sun pods, oh boy, more gear to lug around!

bobo: little B is sooo cute! So many teeth!

tacori: thanks for sharing that--I have a hard time with the guilt laid on FF moms. We all know BF is better, but I sometimes think it's exaggerated. C has never even had a sniffle (knock on wood) so doesn't seem to have had a negative effect on her immune system (and we've had some extreme weather this year--i've been sick twice!). Another funny "moment" I saw on TV was there was an academic on a talk show talking about food and how it's being processed to death. He made a comment how breast fed babies do much better, blah blah and the interviewer asked if he was breastfed. He said "you know, I don't know....but my mom's here". And his mom said no, he was formula fed. Embarrassing, but classic!I would have liked to have bf, but it didn't work out or maybe I didn't try hard enough, but I just would like to not be made to feel worse than need be, KWIM?

TGAL, cute picture of Amelia! I didn''t even notice she was wearing the same shirt until you pointed it out. Very cute shirt! I can see why you put her in it so often.

CURLY, yay for Lily peeing in the potty!

ILUV, aww Sam is so sweet. Ava is so funny. I love your stories. Don''t you dare leave this thread!

BOBO, what an adorable picture of little b! Look at all of his teeth!

LILI, love your new avi and all the beach pictures! J is such a cutie. I especially love the color against black and white.

PUFFY, sorry to hear about the MS. Hope you feel better soon.

TACORI, I hope things are getting better.

QT, hope Meena starts STTN again.

everyone else, hi!

msb do i remember correctly....were you and your DH going to start to TTC? i thought i remember you saying that awhile back, but if i am wrong, i do apologize. i hope little K outgrows his allergy by 3/4. poor kid.

lili those pics are great!!! you know i am such a fan of J, i just love her to pieces, so i won''t say again what a pretty girl she is...ok one more time. she is just a little doll!!! i love that black and white pic too. glad to hear that this cold is passing. let''s hope she stays cold free for another week!! how is she doing other than the cold?

janine how is your little C doing?

snlee did you enjoy the weekend weather?? it was so nice, but it was just too hot over here. hope everything is going well with you and the family.

off to the ultrasound appt.

Thanks Burk, He is all cheeks, all the weight gain went to his cheeks. what kind of counter top are you guys going to get?

Thanks MrsS!

Thanks Tacori, just like I will tell man who discuss pregnancy like it''s such a easy thing, "no uterus, no talk" I will tell the girl, "no BF, no talk"

puffy, house shopping is crazy. DH keep adding to the list. We''re doing the whole kitchen, two bathrooms, change all the floors, knocking down walls, moving the laundry room to the garage...goes on and on and on...I can''t wait til it''s done.

We are doing ok, but little B and I got a really good scare. DH was out walking the dog and he came running home after seeing the houses shaking and he realized there was a earthquake.

Thanks msb, I remember your post on K to the ER. Hope he will out grow the allergy. Do you or your DH have egg allergy?

lili, LOL it does look like he got sideburn. when little B was at his 1 month check up the pedi notice there was a film covering his right eye so he was refer to the eye specialist. We didn''t get to see the specialist until he was 5 months old. The optometrist said he got astigmatism and near sight. He hope little B will grow out of it and want to see him back in a year.

Kawasaki usually occur only once but they can recur. I have a friend''s son had Kawasaki @ 5 months and again at 5 years old. It''s really frightening. I''m in OC, the whole house was shaking. DH was out walking the dog when the earthquake hit. I grabbed little B and ran for the door. I tried to jumped over the baby gate and tripped, trying not to land on little B so I went knee down first so now my left knee is all bruised and swollen.

Can''t believe J still fit into her 6 months onesie. she is a skinny one like little B. I love the beach shot, so cute! Her hair is long, you going to let it grow out?

Thanks Janine & snlee, he got total of 8 and two more is popping out.

mrss~I love baseball, too! My brother''s team lost last night 4-5. It was so sad since it was the state tournament and they''re done now. Three hours is a long drive to go watch baseball.

Tacori~Dh is home for a week, then off to Vegas.
20.gif
I might have made my way into that annoying conversation you overheard because that kind of stuff makes me mad. I tried to BF. I starved myself on the elimination diet for 2 weeks to try and BF with her food intolerances. How can someone who hasn''t even tried it pass judgment? Argh...

puffy~She was back to her happy self by Sunday afternoon so I really shouldn''t have complained about the rough morning. I was just burnt out. Dh is back this week and next, then gone again the first weekend in June for a bachelor party. Soooo NOT happy about that. How exciting that it''s ultrasound time!

msb~T did do pretty darn well at graduation considering the circumstances. Not a place for toddlers. The baseball game was very exciting, but unfortunately they lost 4-5.

lili~Yay for adorable pics!! Love the black and white one!
30.gif
Where did you get her swimsuit? I fee like I just saw it when shopping? So cute!

Bobo~Did you guys pick a countertop last night? We are either getting granite or quartz I think. We picked a couple we liked last night but I doubt we''ll end up getting it at the same place as our cabinets because of pricing. Who knows, though.

We picked our cabinets last night. I''ll update in my house thread. I barely got to see T because of all the running around last night which made me sad but we both lived.

We did the arms lowering thing, and her legs and body will follow and then she’ll fall onto her butt. But she doesn’t do it if she is holding onto an object. I think it’s an security thing. We’ll keep trying.
I know what you mean about lugging around the DSLR, but the pics are worth it to me. Hehe. I have to decide on mine.
M’s brown onesie is NB size, so there’s no way she’ll fit in it. I try to see if I have any pics of her wearing it, but didn’t find one.
Love the new pics of J. I wanted to take M to the beach last week, but DH didn’t. Boo.
Janine
M makes gagging sounds occasionally, but I’ve just been letting her work through it. She hadn’t actually threw up yet.
Tacori
Glad your gum is better.
Can’t believe that girl you heard at the gym, especially since she doesn’t have kids. People just don’t understand that BFing is hard.
Innerkitten
Welcome. M is too young for this thread, but I am still here. =P
Bobo
Glad pedi kind of lay off the weight gain.
How’s your knee? We didn’t feel the earthquake at all. We only found out when Tgal posted about it on Hangout. I felt last year’s though; I was laboring at home that day.
Love little B’s grin and cheeks.
Burk
I’ve heard/read that (practicing in sleep) too. Last night was good for us. I actually put M down awake and she was able to fall asleep without fussing or practicing.
How’s the house planning? You haven’t started building yet, right?
How cute that T misses her daddy.
Puffy
I think she’ll just keep crying if I didn’t go in there. She went for 20 min before I went in.
How did the u/s go?
snlee
How’s D doing? Enjoying the nice weather?
Thanks. Last night was good for us, so let’s hope tonight is the same.

I think I have serious baby fever b/c I dreamt that I was pregnant, and I went in for an u/s to find that I was having twins (one girl and one boy). The funny part was that I wasn’t showing.
No news on M really, except I think she is getting skinnier. She hasn’t been drinking as much BM. The past two days, she’s been drinking two bottles (1 6oz and 1 5oz) and one solid meal (porridge with yam and shredded chicken) when I am at work. She was taking 3 bottles before. MIL says M is excited for her solid meal and eat really fast, but not enthusiastic about the bottles. I am sure she is ok, but I am just being over-worried.

Thanks. You guys should definitely make plans for the beach trip.
There''s something just so precious about kids at the beach.
I''m not a beach person, but I go there just for J

Haha, no talent whatsoever. I just used this free photo editing tool from the web.
One of the feature they have is this gradual tint that lets you retain the color within the specified circle.
It''s nothing fancy like what the pro does. I wish I''m that skilled.
Yeah, J does have the buddha belly and thunder thighs for her ~19 lbs.
That''s why I think the nurse made an error in height measurement.
She doesn''t look nearly as tall as TGal''s Amelia.
I know what you mean about lugging more stuff. Just her food and necessity alone is a PITA to lug.
LOL....that is classic about the academia clip. Too funny.
I don''t know why is it that people feel the need to make a mother feel guilty one way or the other about how she feed her baby
38.gif

snlee
Thanks. So how is D doing? His first 2 teeth completely out now?

puffy
Haha, thanks. She''s doing great -- yapping and mimicking any sounds.
Her vocal cord is definitely more advanced now. The other day, she said very distinctly "all done" with the hand wave and all when she didn''t want any more of her lunch. She''ll say "bur" when she sees a bird or hears a bird chirping
9.gif

How''s the u/s appt? Are you going to take B to the big u/s later on?

puffy, she slept until 10:30 today
23.gif
Not sure what is going on with her. Maybe it is the teething? Maybe she is growing? I don''t know but I ain''t complaining
2.gif
The gym is good. Went last night, tonight and going tomorrow (and thursday). T seems a little overwhelmed now that she is allowed to play outside at child watch. Both times I spied on her she was just standing there staring at all the kids. I am sure she will warm up. How are you feeling?

msb, things are getting bigger. Thanks
1.gif
Sounds like you are in a perfect place for a cupcake business then! Post more pics when you get orders.

Lili, she is so darn CUTE! I love your photos!!! And adorable swimsuit. My gum FINALLY feels better. What a relief. No more putting those baby digits in my mouth! No matter how cute they are. Isn''t it bad I don''t know how many teeth she is suppose to have?!? She has one space between her molar and the next tooth (on all 4 sides) and her k9s are JUST coming in. She looks older with the teeth for sure!

MrsS, lili''s pictures made me feel the same way! I wanna go to the beach.

janine, it frustrates me. I felt judged both when I BFed and when she was formula fed.
20.gif
Tessa is VERY healthy. She has only been sick twice in 18 months. We are all just doing the best we can. DH wasn''t BFed and he was so upset when he found out. Haha.

snlee, they are thanks. How is D? Are you going to be able to meet up in June?

Bobo, I know! DH was talking to this guy saying how fun and easy labor was...ahhh...were you in the same room with me or the 5 days in recovery? How is your knee?

Burk, at least you got a week
2.gif
I was standing right there but I am kinda shy at first and I was so irritated. I know you tried your best! That''s all you can do! Yay for picking out your cabs!

Q, I hear ya sista. I was annoyed and felt bad for the new mom. She''s got enough on her plate w/o an extra helping of guilt. Baby fever?!? Haha not me! Wonder if you will have twins next

Thank QT, the knee is getting better. At least I can walk normally but the bruise is spreading out so it looks scary.

you know I had a dream that I was preggo before I found out I was preggo with little B. In my dream my mom was holding my baby and I know it''s a boy. So when I found out I was preggo I have a very strong sense that I will have a boy so you never know...

puffy, how did your ultrasound go?

Tacori, my knee is getting better, at least I can walk normally. Just the bruise that is making the whole knee cap look like it''s dirty and need a good scrub.

bobo glad you guys are ok. i can totally relate about house shopping, but i think initially, it is pretty fun, then it just becomes way too overwhelming. are you guys almost finished with the shopping? but i am sure it will be all worth it when it''s all done.

burk i''ll have to check your house thread for the cabinet. it sounds like you guys are doing really well picking everything for your house! WOW, your DH is going to owe you big time come bachelor party time. DH is leaving first week of june for almost 2 weeks. i''m not going to lie, i''m pretty bitter about it, but i see it this way, he''s hardly around anyways, so it''s not like we''ll be out of our routine or anything. but i did tell him that i was going on a trip for 3 weeks, and he almost spit the drink out of his mouth. but i''m sure he knew i was kidding. how''s T doing?

qt i''m sure M is getting enough to eat. she''s just more into her solids now, which is perfectly fine. just be happy she is eating!! i see that you and your DH are planning to TTC? when? that is so exciting!!! i had baby fever for the longest time when B was around 8-9 months, then it totally stopped when he was walking and running around every where. i''m excited for you guys!

lili heehee, J sounds adorable!! i do want to take B to one of the ultrasounds, but we''ll see. i did show him the picture from the u/s today and told him that the picture was the baby. and he got so upset and yelled in my face, "no mommy, that is MY baby," as he pointed to my belly. haha! not too sure he understood. then i told him it was a picture of his baby, and at that point, i think it was a bit clearer cause he went and got his toy camera, pointed it at my belly and said "cheese!!" haha.

tacori glad that the gym is going well. i''m doing ok, just feeling crazy bloated. but thanks for asking. i''m sure when T warms up to the whole playing outside, she''ll have a blast. it''s good she isn''t crying anymore when you drop her off. how are her k9s coming?

the u/s went well today. the little bean was there with heartbeat and all. i am so much more relieved now. according to the u/s, it dates me as being 7wks1day and my due date would be jan 4, which seems so far away! but i have a feeling that this pregnancy is going to fly by.

You did what? Are you crazy woman?
Glad to hear that you didn''t hurt yourself more or hurt little B.
Hehe, if I''d tried that....I think DH would have killed me if it didn''t
41.gif

That''s scary about Kawasaki.
At least now you guys and the pedi is alert about it.
Hope the opto appt goes well.

Yeah, I can''t believe it either.
She went into her 6mnths clothes pretty quick.....and just stayed there.
I think she only went up 2 lbs since her 6months appt.

Thanks. You wouldn''t believe how many shots I took to get some of the shots.
Her hair is getting long. I am going to let it grow out, but probably trim the back a bit until the front grows out long enough for me to tie a true pony w/ the back.

Yikes...that was a long drive.
Sorry to hear that your bro''s team didn''t win -- so close.
Thanks. I got that swimsuit from Target (it''s cute huh?) I just couldn''t resist.
Woohoo....off to check on your cabinets

QT
LOL....maybe you are
2.gif

July is just around the corner anyway.
I wouldn''t worry about M''s getting skinnier.
J is like that too. I think J takes in way less BM and solid than M during the day.
Like I told Bobo, she only gained about 2-3 lbs since her 6mnths checkup.
She''s growing and doing well and pooing and peeing just as much.

Woohoo for getting the new camera.
Awwww....bummer about not making to the beach this past weekend, but summer''s going to be here for a while....so many chances still.
Definitely make a trip out when you get your DSLR!
Hey, where are the picture of the GTG w/ snlee huh?

Hehe, thanks and I knew you''d like that swimsuit!
I looked at it and thought it''s so Tacori and maybe T would have one
9.gif

I think everyone should post babies in swimsuit pictures!
Glad to hear that your mouth is better. I hate it when I get those. So painful and you cna''t enjoy any food.
14.gif

LOL....I think not too many people know how many teeth a baby get.
It''s not like the pedi offers you that info.
We need to see a picture of T w/ her full set of chompers.

puffy
LOL....already claiming the baby huh? so cute.
So does he say goodnight to the baby at night too?

It''s eerie how accurate some dreams are.

Oh, you mean you jumped over the babygate when you were trying to take cover for the earthquake.
You poor thing. Wow, those gate are pretty high too no?
My college roommate fell and landed on her knees when we went iceskating and the pain didn''t go away completely until almost a year.
There wasn''t any fracture or anything, just very bruised tissue.
I hope your knees recover soon.

QT~Sounds like M is heading back to good sleep patterns! Yay! We should dig to start construction either next week or the week after! I wouldn''t worry if she''s changing up her eating habits. Does she eat solids 3 times a day yet? If not, maybe add a solid meal if she''s excited for them?

Tacori~I don''t know if I''d actually consider this week a full week. Yes, he''s technically in town, but he still works ridiculous hours and had golf league last night.

I guess it''s kind of becoming routine for me, though, and I don''t even get irritated by him being absent any more. Don''t know if that''s a bad thing or a good thing? I did try BFing...for 6 weeks that seemed like the longest weeks of my life. I try not to feel guilty that it didn''t work out, but it''s hard not to some times.

Bobo~Are your samples all granite? Snap a pic and post it, lady!!

puffy~So far so good on the house choices. Like I said to Tacori, it''s almost like it doesn''t even bother me any more. Just the way it is. I''m sure you feel exactly the same way. Is your DH gone for work for those 2 weeks. That''s hard when it''s that long straight without a break! Yay for a good u/s! I''m sure the time will fly by.

lili~Yes the swimsuit is adorable! I LOVE target!

Meeting with my volleyball girls today, then a meeting with our builder, then showing the house. Busy busy. Hopefully it all goes well.. Miss Tayva is going to be a social butterfly I''m sure so that will make the whole afternoon interesting.

hi mommies..

puffy-congrats on hearing the heartbeat..that is great news!! Jan 4th...wow.

tacori-yay for getting to the gym. i have been so bad lately and not been working out like I should. I can''t wait to get this whole move done so I can get back into a routine.

burk-you sound busy, but fun busy which is good..

msb-very cool on the cupcake business.

qt-i''m sure M is fine. I think kids go in spurts and when they grow and start moving more they tend to thin out.

so, Jake is getting better at the walking thing. He walked across my family room from the couch to the tv, about 20 feet, yesterday. Still very unsteady and wobbly but made it. I still predict another couple of weeks until he is really walking. He also loves to be outside. Last night he cried when I brought him back in the house so I could make dinner. he just kept pointing to the porch door and I knew he wanted to go back out. I can''t wait until he''s walking though so he doesn''t get his hands such a mess crawling in the yard. we are less than 2 weeks away from moving and I really should be packing. Half our stuff is already packed but I still have a ways to go and not feeling motivated to do it

bobo: love that pic of B! such a cutie...K can get his vaccinations except the MMR one was horrendous coz it contains a little egg extract and he had a HORRIBLE reaction to that...all other vaccines he''s been fine with luckily! sorry to hear about the fall and ur knee

Yes, you missed the N in TTNC, emphasis on the N! LOL
I was thinking about it a few months ago, but decided no for now.
I am on the older side, and there would just be such an age gap.
And my patience isn''t what it used to be
