Each day that a cancer patient survives brings him closer to cure, because science has progressed immensely and new treatments are being developed every day. Stage IV breast cancer was considered uncurable, but look how many people are living now with this disease! Same with all types of cancer. There is accelerated protocol of treatment and approval of promising anti-cancer drugs, so please, don''t lose your strength because we are getting better drugs every day.

Try to keep a positive attitude, my step-daughter Niki was diagnosed with Fanconi-A-Plastic anemia when she was five, the doctors said she wouldn''t make six... She had the last laugh on them for 18 more years and I think it was because she had a light spirit which was happy and playful. This thread reminds me of the outpouring of support she received from PS members during her time of need, I love this place!
