What are the measurements of your current diamond? I am curious how much of a leap you are making in mm size... it is killer, though, I can't wait to see it set!

My current stone weights .85 carats and measures 5.23x 5.82 x 3.71

New stone is 1.31 measures 6.43mm x 6.52mm x 4.29mm

Is this a big jump? looking at the numbers it doesnt appear so...and I''m paying about 2400.00 more along w/my current trade in, the optics alone are amazing...but it doesnt seem that there is that huge of a size difference at least not in mm for the 2400.00?

Either way I''m still getting it

Did we end up exchanging OMCs? Is my 1.64 ct L SI1 supposed to be yours? I originally asked for a 1.25-ish J SI1 so I guess yours would have been my stone? After I saw that gorgeous 2.46 L VS2 stone, I knew I had to go bigger, so no thanks are needed.

I’m glad it is going to a good home. I really wanted a perfectly square 1.00 ratio OMC but I suppose it is square enough for the casual viewer.

I don’t think it is going to look much bigger but it will look bigger. When I had my first upgrade, it went up 0.5 mm and it was noticeable, even when not side by side.

I just viewed the video this morning so it looks like both you and Charmy saw mine before I did. I didn’t have the sound on so I have a request for you ladies. Jon didn’t use my real name, did he? If he did, I don’t want to link the video here.

I just did an upgrade where I went up .70mm in diameter on my RB (6.07mm to 6.78mm) and I really really noticed it. I think that you will totally notice the jump! My upgrade cost a similar amount and I think it was COMPLETELY worth it

No names were used! Not even PS names on that video! Yummy! I LOVE WATCHING IT! It makes not having any big stone for a week SO WORTH IT! I probably shouldnt wear it while driving though...because I might get in a wreck!

i'm so EXCITED! YAY for us!

ETA: thanks for the ressurance. When your talking ~1mm it doesnt sound like a lot in your mind! But when you say .85 to 1.31 it sounds a lot bigger! So I got a wee bit worried when looking at the mm difference!

Thanks guys for sharing in my excitiment and everyone else who's getting a chunky cushion! There are going to be a lot of them running around soon I expect!

Thanks for the reassurance! And as far as exchanging stones we *kinda* did. The stone that was actually cut for me was the 1.64 L VS2. But IF I was going to choose between yours and the VS2, I would have choosen the SI1.

So, we kinda did swap. The 1.31 was already 400.00 out of my budget, and the 1.64 vs2 was ~1500.00 out of budget...and Mr. RR was NOT going for that! Which I dont blame him at all! Thats a HUGE budget difference!
