Kinda related to the old Show Me Your TACORI thread: what''s up with all the photos that won''t show up???
I want to see sparklies but I''m seeing so many red X''s in the older threads. It''s really disappointing.

Did PS at one time allow photos to be hosted elsewhere; i.e., not on the PS server?

Thanks to anyone who wants to chime in with an answer.

Yes, there was a time when PS allowed photographs to be stored on other servers and it seemed a lot easier for me to be able to post a picture at that time because I merely had to reference the URL for where the picture was stored on our web server. I''m not sure why PS does not allow pictures to be stored on other servers now, but I''m sure there is a good reason for it. Perhaps it was due to complaints from other web sites accusing PS of stealing bandwidth or something by direclty linking to content hosted on their servers, or it might be because the photographs might be removed from the server at some point and thus would leave holes in the content of the article published on PS - that makes a lot of sense actually. But I have to say that I''m challenged by the system used to publish photographs on PS and often do not post pictures simply because of the time it takes to reformat a picture to conform to the size restrictions allowed for pictures to be posted. I suppose there is no perfect solution to this dilemma

This is my ring too, except without the diamonds on shoulders/shank of band; mine is plain platinum below the basket and around.

A couple of shots of my Tacori - very close to Lotsofsparkles ring.

Weird, nothing seems to want to attach. I will try once more.

Wow, it looks really cloudy - honest, it isn't that cloudy in real life!

BlackIsland- Your ring is just gorgeous!

Do you mind me asking for your ring size? I''m just trying to get an idea of finger coverage since my center stone is about the same size as yours.

My ring size is a big one (in comparison to most of the little size four ladies on this site!)

I am a 7.5. Here is a larger hand picture so you can see the finger coverage. The centre stone is 1.38.

Love the new Tacoris! Mine is in the "show me your tacori" thread.

thanks BlackIsland! That ring looks so lovely on your hand. I tracked down your original tacori post and saw that your center stone was about the same size as mine. Lots of great pictures there too!

lotsofsparkle and eaglesgal,

I can hardly wait for you two to post your rings when the center stones have been set! Two more weeks. How can I stand it? How can YOU stand it. I remember the wait! Tacori did finish it right on time however, so I got it exactly when it was promised.

I know, the wait is KILLING me! Tacori said it would be 4-6 weeks but the jeweler told my BF that in her experience, it''s been closer to 4 weeks. And it will be 4 weeks on Saturday! My BF said he won''t keep the ring from me...but I think he''d like a little element of surprise.

So as of Friday, I will have to be on well-manicured alert!

My jeweler actually told me 2-4 weeks at first. 2 wks if its just a minor sizing issue, 4wks if they need to make the ring from scratch. And of course, they called me back a week later saying tacori''s gonna have to make it from scratch.

At least I have PS where I get to live vicariously through other people''s posts until mine arrives! Thanks Blackisland!

Eaglesgal, hope you get yours safe, sound, and SOON!

Thank you Sabinameister and HollyS... I just love, llllllooooove, LOVE, LURVE my ring.

Like my husband (which seems so odd to say, considering he was boyfriend then fiance until a week and a half ago!) the ring(s) is my perfect fit and match and I cannot imagine anything more gorgeous.

I tried taking handshots today in the sunlight and then scrapped it. My nails looked awful in the light! So, a manicure... THEN handshots! Chipped red polish looks simply AWFUL in sunlight. Who knew?!?!

I''m just a bit antsy since I have the wedding band to enjoy too.

Here''s one from our honeymoon, even if the rings aren''t quite the center of attention.

My experience with sizing my ring and having the center stone set was very different than most peoples'' here, as far as I can gather.

My fiance purchased the setting here in Dallas from Bailey Banks & Biddle, BB&B sized it from a 6.5 to a 5.25, then set the stone (once it arrived from Blue Nile) themselves instead of sending it to Tacori.

Tacori never touched it after purchase; BB&B is an authorized dealer. I''m wondering why BB&B handled the work themselves.

Does anyone else know a possible answer? BB&B did a fantastic job, and of course the turnaround time on sizing and setting was extremely quick since it was done locally. Sizing took three days; the setting was done while fiance (nervously, since it was done day of proposal!) waited.

My jeweler that I bought my setting from will be setting my stone as well. Tacori allows authorized dealers to set the stone themselves and will still be under their lifetime warranty. The reason for my 4wk wait is because Tacori custom makes the head to fit the exact proportions of your stone and my finger size (3.75) is not easily come by in a BM store. You probably just got lucky and BBB happened to have a setting that fits your diamond size and the original size of the setting was close enough to your finger size that they could just size it rather than have to custom order a new ring for you.

My diamond was also set by my B&M NOT Tacori. We were quoted 4-6 weeks to make the ring. I can''t remember how long it took. I had a modification to the setting. It was designed for a RB but they made it to fit my EC. When I lost a diamond melee the B&M fixed it. When I lost a sapphire it was sent back to Tacori (I have only lost those two stones in almost 3 years).

Interesting...Tacori is actually setting my stone. I know that they make settings to order, but apparently, the setting I chose could not accommodate my stone. I guess this means the usual "mold" (for lack of a better term) can''t be used. So there is an additional charge to custom make my setting, and also more $$ for larger side stones to fit the new setting. Well, guess one can''t complain about larger side stones!
