March, your ring is absolutely stunning and deserves a thread on its own along with your wedding band. Is your band from Tacori as well? Plus, if you don''t mind me asking, what are the specs of your center stone.

Fabcrab, thank you!!!! I keep saying one of these days I will do my own thread.... and now that the wedding''s over I really have no excuse, do I? Well, except for needing a manicure for the handshots I need to do since I get to wear my wedding band now!!

Fiance bought the stone from Blue Nile, and though I''m at work and don''t have the GIA certificate in front of me, I will venture to say that it''s a 1.5 H; VS1; excellent/excellent; no fluorescence. My band is eternity-set with 0.31ct G-color, VS stones. When I wear it alone, it''s so dainty that I don''t realize I have it on.

My wedding band is style 2526ETML and it looks almost IDENTICAL (in my untrained eyes, anyway!) to that Sheldon Speyer band that Nclrgrl posted about here yesterday.

Tacori E-ring and Lotsofsparkle, thanks for the info! I was thrilled that BB&B could handle everything onsite so it would be ready quickly, thinking I would get to bask in sparkles quite soon.... I had no idea when we selected the rings and hubby purchased both that it would be about a MONTH before he would do the official proposal!!! I was on pins and needles the whole time and quite covetous of peoples'' rings.... and spent WAAAAY too much time lurking here.

WOWEEE Aquarius and March , Just loving all the intricate detail in Tacori rings. They always have that "hidden" detail in there waiting to be noticed. Love it. I know there has to be more out there.....

My experience with sizing my ring and having the center stone set was very different than most peoples'' here, as far as I can gather.

My fiance purchased the setting here in Dallas from Bailey Banks & Biddle, BB&B sized it from a 6.5 to a 5.25, then set the stone (once it arrived from Blue Nile) themselves instead of sending it to Tacori.

Tacori never touched it after purchase; BB&B is an authorized dealer. I''m wondering why BB&B handled the work themselves.

Does anyone else know a possible answer? BB&B did a fantastic job, and of course the turnaround time on sizing and setting was extremely quick since it was done locally. Sizing took three days; the setting was done while fiance (nervously, since it was done day of proposal!) waited.

My jeweler that I bought my setting from will be setting my stone as well. Tacori allows authorized dealers to set the stone themselves and will still be under their lifetime warranty. The reason for my 4wk wait is because Tacori custom makes the head to fit the exact proportions of your stone and my finger size (3.75) is not easily come by in a BM store. You probably just got lucky and BBB happened to have a setting that fits your diamond size and the original size of the setting was close enough to your finger size that they could just size it rather than have to custom order a new ring for you.

Mine took about six weeks to come in; ordered June 26 and received August 5. They do create each ring to fit the exact proportions of your center stone; and actually scale the setting to the size of your stone as well. For instance, my stone is a .91 so the overall look of the setting is a bit more petite than the setting for a 1.5 to 2ct. And that''s great for us gals with tiny hands and shorter fingers; I have very little room (less than an inch) for rings and the three I have stacked take up all the space there is.

WOW aquarius and happy! Your rings are absolutely gorgeous!!! Keep em coming!

Wow, ladies, your Tacori rings are all gorgeous! I am a big Tacori fan myself, but I don''t know that it''s in the cards for me to ever own one!

Happy, I didn''t know you were getting your ring reset...it looks FANTASTIC! Congrats, and soon you will be wearing all three! Bring on the hand pix, will ya?

Harleigh- It is soo possible to get one. When first started leaving picture hints around the house, my Fi thought, so way it''s too expensive. But after he went to the jeweler and worked with them, he found that my setting which is plat and the petite version was 3K (I think that was it or 2500) I was stunned at how affordable they are and mine is pave and very intricate. So don''t give up on that idea girl!

LOL Sabina! Well, I''m not saying that I couldn''t buy myself one day down the road, but I highly doubt I can convice my FI that I *need* a Tacori in my collection! I''ll keep trying, though!!!

Gotcha, ok I''m a dork. Yes the convincing part is the most difficult isn''t it?

No, you are certainly not a dork!

My FI made a comment the other day pondering whether or not the jeweler we got my 2+ carat stone from was coming into more of them as the economy takes a big fall and people downsizing.

My response of course was, "Well, tell him to call us! I could work my way towards some big ''ol honkin'' earrings, one little diamond at a time!"

He was having nothin'' to do with that, so my hopes are not high for getting any good bling again anytime soon!

(I was feeling a little down in the dumps today, so I DID wear my two wedding bands for part of the day...just to remind myself of the bling to come in July! Gosh, I am so greedy!!!)

March-8-2008 that is a great fire shot! Yummy!!

Hey all you Tacori lovers, I looooove you rings... can you comment on how wearable they are? How do you clean them? Any troubles with lost stones etc? Just curious because I am lusting after all of your settings, that low-set cushion-type halo is killer!
