Alj, those shots are breathtaking. I envy you so much and going on that trip. DH and I have always wanted to go to Cape Cod. My grandmother was born in MA. I hope we can make the trip one day. Thank you for posting those beautiful pictures.

The beach at Provincetown, which is the very tip of the "boot" of the state of Massachusetts.

This is Chatham Light in Chatham, just as the last bit of daylight is fading.....

Chatham Light at nightfall.....

We caught THE most amazing sunset - I could not believe how GORGEOUS the colors were. This is completely untouched - just what the camera caught.

And finally, across the street from Chatham Light is the beach - the edge of the Atlantic Ocean that faces Portugal.

We had a beautiful moonlit night tonight.

This was just a day trip for my friend Tina and I; we were supposed to go around my birthday and delayed it until post-tourist season. SO glad we did - the foliage colors are just beginning to show on the Cape and the weather was unmatched.

Getting this one under 100k really takes away from the image but it gives the idea.
This is by Wifey2b.
Whats interesting is that it breaks several photography rules.
Hint: look at it top down then bottom up :}

That one I just used the burn tool and darkened the background being careful to avoid the flowers.
The magic lasso can be used to help select the edges to make it easier.
A black pencil tool can also be used but it creates a to even background.
It doesn''t show in the web version but in the printed one you get a slight ghosting effect of the original background by using the burn tool.

This one shows the ghosted background.
