My 3.40ct Cushion cut Sapphire with 0.42ctw Half Moon Brilliant sides and 0.82ctw pave'' work, all F color VS clarity. I also thought this design would be really awesome with diamond in the center....maybe someday

I've now tried this size on 3 times and while on hand I think, "this isn't too large at all" but then I get home and see these 3cts and think they're huge. Maybe it's my sz 8 fingers?

A lot of fingers on here are on the smaller side. I have a 2.5 ct on a size 4.75 finger which seems not too small to me. A 5 ct would be huge on me!

On a size 8 finger, I can see how a 5 ct would look similar to a 3 ct on say a size 4 finger. Its all about proportions. My cousin with a size 3 finger tried my ring on, it was gigantic on her!

I tried on a 6 carat OEC at SN Queens, and didn't think it was "too large" for my size 7.5-8 fingers.. but I prefer my 3-4ct size for near "daily wear". Are you near a diamond district or larger jewelry store, so you can call in larger stones to "try on"?
