Hi all, I previously posted my first thread here at PS here: Battle of 2 Diamonds and got many great responses! So firstly, thank you!
PSers were recommending me to check out many other places despite my stubbornness to stick to Blue Nile due to the Zac Posen knife edge setting, and I am happy to say that I have! I have a list of Brian Gavin Diamonds, CBIs and ACAs that I am reviewing BUT I wrote this thread because was thrown off by a surprising contender here with this Blue Nile diamond.
Now, i've evolved from 2 weeks ago (when i posted my first thread) and now i've learned to look deeper into the ideal proportions of a diamond. I refer to Ideal Proportions from Nice Ice to make sure that I shortlist diamonds within those proportions.
Here's the interesting thing, while looking at the amazing diamonds from BGD, CBI and ACA, I came across this amazing 1.41ct diamond from Blue Nile which falls perfectly into the ideal proportions (HCA score: 1.3) and what's more, it's not even under their premium Astor brand. I've reached out to Tesie from Blue Nile to enquire more about the diamond and here's all the info I have on the diamond. They even provided me an ASET scope, something that - from what i've read - is SUPER RARE when dealing with diamonds from Blue Nile.

GIA Report:

ASET Scope:
Yes i know there's light leakage in the centre but I've seen some of the ASET images from JA's True Hearts diamonds and they look about the same! Surely it wouldnt create what people would call the "ring of death" would it? Furthermore, Tesie has assured me the pink hues in the centre would most certainly show up Red if seen under an Ideal Scope. Please let me know if my untrained eye is missing anything
Chat conversations with Tesie:
When asked about the Cloud inclusion at the side of the diamond:
When asked about why this diamond is not classified as Astor - their premium branded selections:

What do you guys think? Did I hit the jackpot with this find? Am I missing something critical? I have the diamond reserved for me so I would love to get your feedback before I finally settle with the diamond for the engagement ring.
Thanks in advance for any replies PSers!
